From another forum this 'enlightened' OP titled the thread: Socialism Is The Answer.
Everyone knows people cannot be trusted to think responsibly for themselves. While some enlightened individuals are either fortunate or skilled enough to make wise decisions, the masses are easily swayed.
When America was founded, it was founded by mob rule. The mob liked the idea of representative democracy. However, we all know what happened. Corrupt individuals came to power and dominated the mob. This country has a brief history of being one of the most oppressive on the planet. We have enslaved people of different races. We have waged unjustified wars just for our own capitalist greed.
People indeed were sick of the failed Repukeliklan policy. The enlightened rose up and now we have Obama. It remains to be seen if he truly will be a force for good. However, we should give him time. Do not be fooled into believing though that just because democrats are in power makes everything perfect. Further action is needed! There are still bastions of conservative ignorance that must be stamped out before a glorious social revolution can take place. In the following I cite our enemies and what should be our battle plan:
The right wing media of Fox and talk radio spreads hate. Do we allow somebody to yell fire in a thearter to create a false alarm? No, it leads to panic and unrest. Thus it is the same with these loud mouth dissidents. While we can forgo hanging Rush Limbaugh for treason, shutting him down or limiting his hateful rhetoric. In an ideal world the 1st Amendment would be earned. Only enlightened social thinkers would be allowed to speak. Of course this is a hard thing to achieve and needs to be done carefully so as to not silence legitimate liberal thinking. Certainly though, there can be some guidelines on what is acceptable. I cite our wonderful website as an example of a reasonable system. The internet is also home to thugs of course. I cite the ignorant rabble at Fortscribe.com as proof. Sometimes you want to strangle the opposition for their ignorance. Remember though, we are the enlightened tolerant. After all, if we the enlightened become the mad, who will lead? Surely, there is a good way to regulate uncontrolled conservatives.
Violence is acceptable only in as it creates social order. Guns should not be in the hands of those who resist the unification of enlightened socialism. Gun control should be mandatory, however a strong secret army should also be in place to prevent underground dissent. We must also protect those private citizens who have relied on guns for their safety.
Throughout history travel has allowed man to expand his perspectives. However, it also grants people freedom to escape their social responsibility. Right now tax payers in New York are planning to leave their city and escape what they owe the community. Rich capitalists go overseas with their finances to find loopholes. Unacceptable. There are answers to these problems, if people had the political fortitude. Castro sends gunboats around his island to shoot the worthless dogs who try to evade their responsibility. Russia had a wall of checkered history that made sure people would not flee their responsibility. Thankfully, we need not use such extreme methods to achieve a goal. Travel should be restricted to lower green house emissions. Perhaps allow people a set carbon footprint, and set a millage to that. Be reasonable though, allow one vacation a year by train or something. This talk is all pie in the sky unless we can enforce it though. I have single handled invented a solution. All currency should be based on a system of government credit cards. The government controls all funds and transactions. I know, I know - this system still uses a form of capitalistic oppression. However, the Chinese have shown us the value of well managed capitalism. Socialism will work best when combined with well managed transactions. Think of the benefits - people can be prevented from buying too much gasoline or buying too much tobacco or food that makes them fat. People can smoke weed or tobacco - but by controlling how much people can spend we avoid excessive destructive behavior. This system is pure genius, it will allow us to regulate people in the ways we need to. This system can also be rigged to help limit black market transactions.
Religious fanatics oppose the notion that a strong man should decide the destiny of humanity. They foolishly cling to their mythic creations. Great minds like Castro understand the danger of religion. Its more than just an opiate for the masses. Its a threat to social harmony. This is why in their wisdom, they silenced these ignorant institutions.
People destroy the environment. Suburban sprawl and irresponsible long commutes into the city. We cannot expand endlessly out west anymore. The population is growing rapidly. Private ownership of land needs to be redefined. The government should first seize all land - transiently. The government should then assign all CITIZENS a given area of land. Reasonable housing can be made, how hard is it to put up some prefab concrete structures across unoccupied regions. Notice - I say citizens. Yes, I agree with the Repukeliklans on border control. We should allow people into the country, but they should only benefit if they contribute. Socialism will heal the world, but first we must heal our own society. If we focus within, we will have less trouble without.
I realize that radical proposals like this will probably not happen at this time. One also deal with some major issues. Nobody wants to live next to a banned word slum. There are also cultures and people with more enlightenment than others. I could not expect somebody enjoying the great northeast to suddenly live with rednecks in Wyoming. lol.... People have family ties after all, we want to be reasonable. Unfortunately, sacrifices must be made. Everyone must sacrifice for a better tomorrow. We can build lots of light rails powered by solar energy so you can visit your family. A little inconvenience is worth it I say.
One other thing - People of worth should have some means to obtain a little more in life. They shouldn't be allowed to own half of a state or fly a private jet, but they should be able to improve their means based on their worth to society. Perhaps they can have an extra window in their prefab concrete cylinder or a walk out terrace. People deserve some respite from their labor because its essential to mental well-being. When they achieve for society, they should be able to reap some immediate satisfaction for their contribution. Although I love Castro, 200 pesos a month for a doctor is not really reasonable for hard working souls. Too much control can be a bad thing and we need to recognize societies productive as distinct. After all, some people, like rednecks or many in the black community are useless eaters. Don't blame me for being politically incorrect. Your a piece of [excrement] if you ignore the truth by refusing to recognize this. I am not saying they are useless eaters by choice, but what else can they be without intervention? They have been denied opportunities, some of them had to grow up in the slums or with nothing but their guns and Bible to cling to. opportunities for them? The elite in this country may be productive, but their opportunity came on the backs of others.
To better rectify this state of affairs, all white people should pay a reasonable, but not oppressive tax. Temporarily though. This can be used to help finance restructuring of the poor black communities. In the end though, blacks should be treated as whites so a tax like that should end or be replaced by something of a different title. Reparation for the past is impossible. We need only equalize the way the people of today live. We cannot right every wrong of the past, we can only move forward and do what we can now.
These goals are meant to be long term. We need a leader who can follow through with these plans for the time they take. The four year term is unacceptable. When our goals require at least one five year plan. Which brings me to my next point. Obama should have at least one extra year for his term. Five year plans take five years.
Some of you may disagree with me. I understand that the devil is in the details. Obama has not proven his commitment yet, but we have elected a savvy president and he has a savvy cabinet. They are smarter than you. If you don't agree with our mission, my advice to you is that it is better to be thought of as a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt. I encourage debate from those of enlightened background, but at some point the time for talk is over and action must be achieved. Either get on the bandwagon of history or stand aside. We have waited for change for too long!
