My outgoing e-mail name, which I've had since before spam became rife - now, though, whenever I e-mail someone for the first time, I have to worry about them thinking I'm selling them erectile medication and junking me. Coincidentally, I usually am selling them erectile medication - it's a premium service I only offer to close acquaintances - but I'd at least like them to read my e-mail first.
I think the name originally had to do with St. Peter when I first chose it. And, you know, solidity. Or solidness. Or solidicity.

so I was sitting in a computer lab one day at college in '98. I saw my friend on AIM and I figured Ild mess with him. I'ld never made an AIM account before so I had to create one. I didn't want to use numbers in my name because I would just forget them. I tried alot of combinations and nothing was working, so I thought to myself.... I'll think of something that would never happen. That way no one would probably have used the name. The name needed to be very random too.... so that my friend would have no idea who was messing with him. I looked at the fishtank in the room with us and thought..... Fish don't have hair therefor they don't get fleas..... it was about that random...
I typed it in hit enter..... and viola.... Fishfleas was born. I stalked his messenger for a few weeks telling him I knew where he lived and what he was wearing....lol.... mind games are great..... I meant to tell him after a week or two who I was..... Of course I forgot.... about a year later he was in my room and I was chatting to someone with my AIM fishfleas....
He said....."What!!!!!!! your fishfleas...... !!!!" lol it was great....
lots of fun.... anyways I ended up liking the name and it has stuck and I use if for everything now.
Good names are hard to come by.

One of the star craft maps I used to play had the boss named Areon Stryfe or something. I liked the name cause I hadn't heard it before and he does some nice stuff in the game. I miss those old 'use map settings' maps...this one was called winterglades
