YOU NEED IMPASSIBLES! Right not there are way to many boarders. Nothing is easy to hold.

I now se several things that would make the map much better.
    1 Impassibles (as mentioned before
    2 A better background
3 a more evident theme. (ading a picture of a norse worrior or sheild or something would do wonders for it)
4 Get rid of the nordic nations and add just denmark with tribes and such (There is a map of midevil denmark going on now, perhaps the author would know a thing or two about the teritories.)
5 different font for the outside text (something less plain)

2 A better background I have a much better background in the a new update that will come soon but I havbe a slight problem that I don't know how to fix so I will have to ask around before finishing that.
3 a more evident theme. (ading a picture of a norse worrior or sheild or something would do wonders for it) I am considering getting rid of the norse nations and then adding nust denmark and perhaps a picture of something norse-ish

    Changes:
    1 Background
    2 impassibles added
    3 Ships in color
4 Nordic nations removed and will be replaced after the results of the poll are seen.
5 Some minor things (i.e. fonts, mistakes, ect..)
I notice some misakes (the nordic nations needs to be taken out of the bonuses) and I will fix them.

I like it a lot more. The background fits better. A better font would look good though.

Your drafts are certainly improving ;-)

The borders still feel quite pixelly, and the whole map feels a bit squished (ie compressed vertically).

You'll need to be really careful with your attack lines and the boat... the boat in the Bristol channel appears to border a couple of places, and I'm not too sure where it lands? The boats in the Irish sea seem a bit of a mystery... where do they come from? The map still feels a bit disparate, and you've lost the Viking invaders theme... for me, that was the unique selling point of this map!

It should be better when the either the Nordic countries or Denmark is added after the poll gets some more votes.

Thanks for the comment!

Well, first, I think that it is odd that there is a low number of posts, cause this is a pretty good map. Don't get discouraged. Secondly, I think that you really need to add Denmark because the map is the Danish invasion of england. I like the new boats, and somemore impassibles would be nice.

Awesome so far guys, I just think the bonus font is a bit messy, you may want to color it the color of the territories that are within that bonus. And Naxus, you have such a great Sig!!! Who made that? Lol Jk ;)

Sorry for not posting for so long-I did get your pm. :) Lovely Idea BTW, me and Telvannia got pretty far with something similar a while back. I think maybe you should try using the Saxon boundaries for territs rather than the modern counties (it really doesn't fit). You also ought to make the northern boundary that of Northumbria and Alba/Strathclyde (though you may want to add in Strathclyde: I'm not sure what happened to it historically)

As for Denmark, I think you should do it but I can't help you much further than that, all my sources are in the first page of my post and in the 6-7th page where people corrected me :)

You have an extra a in border.

Are the red lines impassible? If so, you may want to extend the red border of Breknoc and Hereford a bit past the Breknoc - Monmouth border. i'm having a little trouble telling if there's a border there or not (or i might be wrong and there is, in which case the line moves the other way...). Keep an eye out for such places, that's the one that stands out to me as a little confusing, but other ppl might have trouble with other borders.

mm... that's all i see. looks good!

Actually the map seems another england map with ships added, you should probably focus more on the danish invasion.
But my biggest concern is about the numerous informations on the map.
Try to make the map more clean... :)
The map seems a bit compressed, you could find the space required removing scotland (useless).
Finally i suggest you to resize the map (next update if possible  ) to respect this: http://www.conquerclub.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=241&t=78808#p1868811, and to enable all members to have a better understanding of the map and give you more helpful suggestions
This one was good (about size) http://f-i-w.wikispaces.com/file/view/Danelaw_new+with+names+and+such2.bmp ;)

Good work !

Hopefully the next update will take into account many of the concerns / thoughts that have been raised - most notably adherence to the size restrictions, and the further development of the Danish Invasion theme ;-)

This map is looking nice, and when you fix the size you should try experementing with differant texts, and maybe the size of the text.
currnetly i think the text isnt the best, and you could probubly makie it one size smaller

The next update will take a bit more time because I am really trying to figure out how to get the theme more in the gameplay, but we are working hard on it.

I like the prespective of the map- I'm sure a blue sea would be preferable to long/lat lines?

Nice work - hope this map goes far - I'm sure you'll get plenty of support

I think this is great, i would like to include the scandanavian countries but make them start nutrael and have bonus's on them. Also i would think of maybe putting hadreins wall on the map just to improve the look of it. Overall this is an amazing map
