So, anyone have some tips for finding her that I can use tomorrow morning?
And on the off chance that someone lives in the downtown or northern part of Salem, Oregon, if you happen to see a little Shelty running around, let me know.
check the pound.. do flyers around every corner and if none of that works go to houses around your street or ask friends to help

Well, she was found yesterday. Ended up getting a couple miles the first day before she wandered into a warehouse where they let her sleep for a couple nights and took her on walks to see where she wanted to go (but since it was on their own time during breaks, they weren't able to get far). Somebody claimed her though, and would've gotten away with it if we hadn't have posted a newspaper ad that came out yesterday and the person taking care of her at the warehouse (Truitt Bros. Inc.) called us.

Good news!
It's too bad there are people out there that would try to claim a dog that belongs to somebody else. It isn't just a simple theft when you are dealing with pets that have so much emotion attached to them.
But I suppose, as we've seen in this thread, that some people don't care about hurting others. Some people can be very thoughtless.

Hey, damn good news (the dog returning I mean, not the brainless/thoughtless bit).
I often see posters about missing dogs/cats and wonder if the stories have a happy ending.
Glad this one did.
