The only people involved in a botched drug deal are drug dealers...... its called survival of the fitness. mother natures way of weeding out the undesireable
Or the little kids that they have around the house, or people in the smae apt building or neighboorhood
Anyone who owns a gun is danger to society then. Go to canada hippie. You see my location? BAY AREA CA. OAKLAND, SAN FRAN, RICHMOND, VELLEJO, etc
No, it's criminals with guns that are a danger to society. I own three guns for hunting and a handgun for self defense. I'm not on probation, I haven't killed someone. The only crimes I've commited are minor traffic offenses.

Great idea not to snitch...Now there are criminals on the street with firearms, that could be behind bars. Great job!

I own 2 guns for hunting. the key facts are that I am not on probation, not fleeing from cops, and not ditching guns in peoples yards. I believe in the 2nd amendment. you fail
Cheney shot someone in the face hunting. Real safe
Never said it was safe. There's always an inherent danger when using guns. Hunting is not a danger to society though

Anyone with a gun has potential to make a mistake. period. Mistakes happen all the time, even if the mistake is a child getting a gun without the safe on it. It may not be you but last time i checked you werent cloned a million times over

You've totally changed the argument. We aren't talking about gun accidents. we are talking about why you should or shouldn't provide cops with information on criminals running free in the streets with guns.

That's why we need manditory saftey education for everyone who purchases a gun! The accidents occure due to ignorance, education can save lives.
But seriously, let's get back on the topic of snitching. There's plenty of gun threads that could be bumped to continue this conversation.

I remember hearing about this "No Snitching" campaign a couple years ago. Signs and shirts with the motto were showing up in Rap videos and such. I'm a hip-hop fan(though all the recent stuff is garbage, but thats another topic) so I heard about it. But I thought I remembered it being shot down pretty quickly by responsible community leaders and some of the smarter rappers. But I guess it's still alive and doing well

Its not my business. Im not snitching on anyone whether they knock down my fence or they live in a state where ferrets are illegal. I let the police do their job. Maybe this will help, my dad was a cop growing up and a narc in oakland. He used to tell me of all his busts. POLICE ARE CORRUPT AS F*CK. He told me himself and he worked past of a state board that certifies depts across ca. All cops are as*holes.

I have a question for whatmeworry. If someone mugged one of your friends or relatives and there was a witness, wouldn't you want them to speak up? Or would you gladly walk around with them proclaiming "NO SNITCHIN!!!!"?

No snitching. But then again why would one of my friends or family walk down town known for drugs and what not. the only people getting jacked are the ones who are there for the wrong reason. I dont go near bee hives because i know im going to get stung.

That statement is as much discrimination as someone saying the same about a race or sex. Generalizing a cross-section of people that number in the millions as "assholes" is irresponsible and counter productive

Sure, let's just let the drug lords and the gangs protect us from now on. Sounds like an exellent idea.

Why the hell wouldn't you snitch? Those people could be drug dealers of gang members. The kind of people who get innocent people hurt or killed! If those two go on to kill someone you're just as responsible for that murder as they are.

yeah you are right, no one innocent ever gets mugged or robbed. and if they do, then it is their fault for getting mugged, not the mugger. wow you are sounding smarter and smarter each post

Snitching somebody out and telling them what you saw are two very fine differences
I dont see how youd be snitching on them either

You're location doesn't matter. I live in the Bay Area too, and I'd tell right away. And not because of the fence, just because of the general crime around it.

also there is a difference between snitching and providing information. To me snitching for instance is getting in a fight with somebody, losing that fight, then going to the cops and crying about assault. Providing information is me being a citizen and not wanting crime in my city, so I'm providing information on 2 guys who are on probation, running from the cops already, and ruining my fence while leaving a (probably loaded) gun in my yard.
Big difference

Snitches get stitches is a military term that I learned while I WAS IN THE U.S. MILITARY. And maybe if the person stole a litter of puppies, or killed a school bus full of kids, then yea i would give a report but he knocked my fence down that was already old and broken. Its a blessing. I dont know what they did, and for all i know it could be anything, but i dont. So Im going to mind my own business because even if i did im not going to rid the world of crime. the more and more you post the more unrealistic you sound. Keep dreaming

Ten you should know whats up and if you dont your probably from a rich suburb where when cops pull you over for a DUI they have someone drive you home in your car.

I never said I was ridding the world of crime. If I don't want these particular guys in my neighborhood, which I think any person with common sense would feel, then I will report to the police on these guys.
Maybe you are under the false pretense that these guys will recognize you as a "non-snitcher" and therefore you'd be cool with them. So that way when they really like that car you are driving or that watch you have on your wrist and they want it, they wont rob you for it. wrong. They will rob you as quickly as the guy they robbed the night before. you are the one who needs to keep dreaming.
Also, I know a handful of people in the Military, and I know every one of them would disagree with you entirely. So parading the fact you were in the military doesn't help your cause at all
