its a fantastic idea in theory, but when you get into the logistics of giving every bear an arm, and giving equal oppertunity to all bears it just falls apart. I understand that bears have certain rights, but if we just let the free market supply the arm, i think we will have a better society as a whole.

Well I simply do not see why anybody would cut off their arms in the first place. Also what if the bear didn't get a "bear" but ends up with a bare arm.

Giving an arm to each bear would just escalate the inter-bear conflict. Bears have enough of a desire for arms at the moment (tearing them off ill-advised campers as they do), so an increase in the total number of arms in the bear population would only fuel an already delicate balance.

I vote no. Hands however is a slightly less contentious issue, they're easier to swallow!

The problem with hands being givin is that they might not be filling. Maybe hand to forearm would be appropriate.
