The original reason for speed games was that new recruits would be more likely to join.
If it is not possible to give speed games to newbies it doesn't make sense...
an other aspect, how would a new recruit recognize speed games
concluding, there would be just one reason to give speed games and that is because it will allow non-premiums to play more games, this will still suck data-traffic... so there is no point in giving it. if you are a non payer (like me) just keep 1 slot open...

Maybe once you reach a certain number of points (maybe 1200) you get free premium for a week. This way newbs wouldnt be able to get it, and people might realize how great premium is. Plus, i would be able to get it in a couple of points!

And I'm still in favor of more than 25 or 30 games. They should be happy they get one for free at any time!

I concur actually - But I don't think it should be an escalator at all...
After X games (say 25) they can have 1 speed game added to their allowed games... but they can still only have 4 games at one time...

It will be interesting to see whether the free speed game from the MPOGD vote campaign encourages people to get premium. If so, we could run similar voting campaigns every so often instead of giving out speed game teasers after playing X games or for X months.

I think its more important for free people to get the speed games, it doesn't really matter to a premium person if a guy leaves their game and they have to wait a few more days to finish but to a freebee (which I was for a long time), this loss of a game can be devastating to the experience. I think speed games should be granted to freebees, and as many as they want, it makes sense. Speed games won't get people buying premium!

Then Lack loses money, and closes the site.
GREAT IDEA!
.....Speed games are for prems, deal with it.

People who won't pay $20 are cheap. I was cheap I got it as a gift. I never ever would have bought premium just for speed games, that is not enough to change my mind. But whatever.

Has anyone ever thought of making the premium membership cost a little less, or better yet; a $10, not so premium membership. Like a medium membership that raises the number max games and allows a certain number of speed games per X amount of time, with an upgradable option at anytime to full "Premium." If this was implemented, I would upgraded tomorrow.
