I have a theory that if we were all of roughly equal proficiency we'd probably all be prepared to lynch up to a point D1 whatever the game set up, but also all be prepared to divert to no lynch at a point D1 too.

I think how good players feel their relative proficiency in using powers is, is the biggest driver in whether they are pro no or random lunchers D1.

I know that's a bit of an annoyingly vanilla statement to start with!

Just following on re what I'm anticipating my position will be on voting or no lynch this game.

We don't know if there will be any day actions that will occur/be revealed and might change things.

If there are not masons to even things out then I accept that scum have more power D1 to drive/direct a mislynch than town and therefore there is a higher hurdle of suspicion to overcome to justify a lynching.

I consider other players to be better than me, in how to use powers.
Thats actually an argument for me selfishly whether town or scum to let powers come into play rather than blind/random lynching because practice is the way I can improve what I think is my most obvious weakness. - ie its making me more likely to accept a no lynch this game.

I still want to do what I can to pressure players being active with posts in games - but I'd prefer to say hey (Max) just go hard with posts on any players who raise any suspicions to you whatsoever whenever - go over the top but give logic as well.

I'm not dead set on no lynch D1, I'm prepared to try poking the bears with suspicions, I'm just less likely to TRY to lynch this game than I have been previously.

So Role Madness 1 had 14 players of which 3 were mafia and 3 were third party, this has 10 so I'm guessing 3 mafia 2 third party.

Actually I reckon third party would be most worried about a day 1 lynch, and since I place Charle as a serial killer type - you know the kind when he's caught everyone says just look at him it was obvious all along he was a serial killer - and I don't want to be his first victim.

No man, I am just trying to get things going here, it was so quiet. Waiting for everybody to start saying something, my vote can be changed at any time. Not much to contribute when there are only 3 posts, we can carry on for weeks with D1, I don't mind, as long as the guys are active.

From observing you D2 and D3 seems to have been pretty damned/too good in past games.

Truth? Just battling a touch of burn-out.
That other current game (that shall not be named) has me staring wild-eyed into the Abyss of Chaos.
But this game is fine. It's just the usual mild jesting banter, plus a fascinating (yawn) discussion on Day 1 Lynch-Theory.

As for me, my thoughts on Day 1 lynching are very pragmatic.
No Intel = Randwagon = a high propbability of a mislynched townie, so often no lynch is best, ...but if some real evidence were to come to light, well, then that changes everything, ...right?

I have to be honest, the post where EW posted on the game which I hosted, put me actually in the Lynch D1 group. I like the fact that town has the first move, and I am sure Town will be able to do something with the result, if not immediately, then later in the game as well.

So, the things that I've advocated all the other games, too. It's nice to hear that EW has your ear when you're deaf to my tongue.

Maybe the one game I was thinking of not trying to drive a lynch for being inactive, maybe law of averages we have to see a scum max sometime.

But also would Dish have thought he'd be Dirty and deliberately make Max scum this game??

Hosts dont really play with deciding who gets to be what role. They just randomise it, so that people dont make reads based on the exact thing you just mentioned.

Yes it was lame. Don't know how to get some kind of action/feel going though.

Let's see how the Charle thing pans out. I really feel like he stepped a tiny bit over the mark, which sometimes happens with scum being eager.
