The only thing that should be measured in cups, are boobs.

So... two cups of milk?Lonous wrote:The only thing that should be measured in cups, are boobs.
A partial pint of water
The glass is probably an American pint, 16 ounces.
We used to get served beer in British pints here, 20 ounces. Then the bars all swapped out their glasses for the smaller ones in a veiled price jump.

No, I disagree.2dimes wrote:The glass is probably an American pint, 16 ounces.

I believe we are looking at an entity that conforms to 'cup' in both the 'container' and 'measurement' definitions of the term.

Cups are for coffee and such. Glasses are for water, beer, vodka and err bad eye sight.

So politics is NOT the ONLY thing you need to learn about.
And do you know what a molecule IS? Or scientific notation? Geeees. Guess NOT.

I'm more concerned about you psychopaths wanting the glass/cup to be 100% full. I mean, have none of you ever tried drinking from 100% without your hand shaking everywhere?! It's impossible! And I'm not going to dip my head down like a duck. We haven't evolved millions of years just to mimic ducks with a container of water! COME ON PEOPLE!

Thank you for pointing out the fundamental difference between NORMAL and ABNORMAL 100% full cups/glasses.DirtyDishSoap wrote:I'm more concerned about you psychopaths wanting the glass/cup to be 100% full. Normally 100% full cups/glassesstill leave between 5-10% of the glass unfilled, just to account for such potential situatations (i.e. 'drinking') that you so eloquently have described.
Factoring in the cup/glassfullness normalacy also bolsters my claim of the OP pictured cup/glass being at least 80% full.
Unlike wookie's (mookie's?) completely preposterous and spatially incorrect estmate of 75%.

Don't be silly jusplay4MAGA, we (except your silliness) have agreed that the picture is a glass of water, alcohol or some other clear liquid, not a cup, approximately 75% full. Yes, the author of this thread had it wrong, due to his obsession of drawing in the moderator to squash free speech (is DDS MAGA a book banning/burning woke fascist?)

And?
How many threads do you nerds plan on dragging your politics into?
At this point, i could start a thread about a cup of water and somehow, some way, you dorks will turn into a "HURR DA LEFT! DAAAAAH! THE RIGHT!" Pick a thread and keep it there. Good God man.
You ruined your own experiment, DDS. SAD.

That little glass in your picture is not the same one as in the OP. That one has no water in it and the bottom is thicker.Votanic wrote:No, I disagree.2dimes wrote:The glass is probably an American pint, 16 ounces.

Re: A cup of water
Much of the rancor concerning claims that the vessel displayed in the OP is not a 'cup' si likely based on confusion between the terms 'cup' and 'mug'.
For example, many might be truly surprised to learn that their morning 'cup of coffee' is actually a mug of coffee.
While the receptacle shown can be reasonably described as a 'cup', it is indeed not a mug.
However, mugs can also be made of glass.

Only one confused here is you. Go take your glass mug and start your own self-serving thread. T'is you who seems to be throwing a tissy-fit,
because people would rather discuss the particulars of servingware, that waste time engaging with anymore of your contrived and calculating, political-propaganda posts.
