because Llama knows keeping a clean house won't prevent the plague from spreading…

How did the plague spread?

Bubonic plague is mainly spread by infected fleas from small animals. It may also result from exposure to the body fluids from a dead plague-infected animal. In the bubonic form of plague, the bacteria enter through the skin through a flea bite and travel via the lymphatic vessels to a lymph node, causing it to swell.

so.. how do you prevent fleas you might ask..?

--> Repel, Don't Attract
Take a multifaceted approach to being flea-free. Treat your pets externally with a flea medication containing fipronil or imidacloprid. Oral medication with lufenuron kills fleas that bite pets who have received it. Wash your pet's bedding in hot, soapy water regularly to kill larvae and pupae. If your pet shares your bed, wash your bedding, too. Vacuum or wash area rugs, carpeting and furniture, including under furniture. Dispose of the vacuum cleaner bag afterward. Steam-clean your furniture, floors, drapes and upholstery.

Llama apparently doesn't understand the word Plague is the name of the disease ..

what he needed to say is " 4 cases does not a Outbreak make.. "

but at this point.. I am not surprised by anything llama is saying..

"When China sneezes, the whole world trembles" - Napoléon Bonaparte

I saw this quote today and thought I'd post it... but then I decided to de-bunk myself.

“Quand la Chine se réveillera, la terre tremblera.” is the actual quote, and a Frenchie can correct me, but I believe this translates more like; 'If China ever awakens the world will tremble.' which doesn't have nearly the same Zietgiesty hyperbolic impact.

12,000-60,000+ die of the flu every year in the US alone. This is a few hundred / thousand cases so far. Yawn.
