Apparently there is too many Nigerians in Canada:
https://www.voanews.com/a/canadian-officials-in-nigeria-work-with-us-to-stem-asylum-seekers/4376636.html

The Canadian government is trying to stem the flow of asylum seekers illegally walking across the U.S. border even as their ranks grow: About 2,500 asylum seekers crossed into Canada to file refugee claims in April, according to estimates from the federal immigration and refugee department — the highest level since August and almost triple last April's figure.

More than 26,000 people illegally crossed the Canada-U.S. border in the past 15 months to file refugee claims.

The Canadian government says many of the more recent arrivals are Nigerians who arrived bearing valid U.S. visas after having spent very little time in the United States.

“It is apparent that they obtained those visas with the express intent to actually go to Canada. ... We’ve been sharing that information with the United States with the view of preventing the abuse of U.S. visas,” a Canadian immigration department spokeswoman told Reuters in an email.

Here is yet another person slowly coming to the realization that the economy is full bullshit. He describes artists and craftsman as useful and beneficial, but this is not so. If there was never another movie made, you still wouldn't be able to watch all the movies in your lifetime. Stuff can be made so fast that there is far more than anyone needs. The entire economy exists just to give people jobs, not for any useful purpose.

I've been posting some of these in other threads. Now, back to the action:

Is the internet anti-Jewish?
A few years ago, during the height of that anyone-can-start-an-app meshugas, some people I know began talking about a shiva app. Jews are busy today, the crux of their pitch to me went, and the experience of sitting in a house for eight whole days was ripe for Silicon Valley’s brand of disruption. What if they could digitize the essential parts of the shiva experience? With the help of videoconferencing, social networking, and crowdsourced-support materials, you could get the benefit of a shiva, delivered right to the palm of your hand, without all that inconvenient … sitting.

“OK,” I said, “but what about the babka?”

Seriously, did these fools think about the babka, which would presumably have to be delivered to the virtual shiva somehow, either as some idiotic babka emoji, or a real babka sent by courier, to be consumed alone by the bereaved, along with various other Amazon and e-commerce gifts of condolence, in what would undoubtedly be the saddest goddamn excuse for a shiva in modern history? A babka sitting at a table uneaten at a virtual shiva is a thought so tragic it deserves a shiva of its own.

Boxers are better:
https://www.newyorker.com/elements/lab-notes/science-has-resolved-the-question-of-boxers-vs-briefs

Everyone already knew that since they are original and briefs are a cheap knock-off.

Also, cold countries (like Canada) are better.

This is yet another example of how real discrimination is built right into the system, and is both legal and promoted. Conversely, fake discrimination (like message board posts) is policed.

That's a silly name for a lighthouse. I'd rather call it DEFCON 12!

What is up with all these kids wearing their face on their shirt? On one hand, it makes perfect sense as it makes the costumes cheaper. On the other hand, it makes no sense because it ruins the costume. It's better to have no costume at all, or the stripe of face paint like the Mexican kids. No wonder the boomers ruined America.

Here is an interview with the author of that article. A rather giant fan of Mr Tolken.

I quite enjoyed Houston partially because it was near the French Quarter.

So it seems they want Idris Elba to be in a Bond movie. I'm worried he's not female enough to be a convincing Bond girl.

Just curious if this is what you were referring to earlier about the words we use.

Contextually, I think that was the correct word to use, as it was taken right from the article.

I get it, I'm a terrible internet troll and a bad example of a human being. If that means there is no value in the words of the Bible, then so be it.
