I agree that it should be EITHER

There's a Google Doodle to commemorate this map - let's hope it goes live in a timely manner!

i just looked over the XML and it looks good, the only thing i would recommend is moving the pixels over slightly on the large map

moving them over a few px will help both the 88 and 888 fit comfortably as there's more than enough room

You need to get your eyes checked.

Finally figured out how to get an XML URL for CC's Map Inspect tool so I could test it with 888s myself.
Moved the qualifiers 5 pixels, the group stage territories 7 pixels, and the bracket territories 2 pixels.
The result looks good enough to me.

Is BW the guy that said he was deciding something about maps for a week, forgot, then cant remember what he was deciding about?

Maybe we should have a tumbleweed-spotting contest instead of WC map?

Don't get me wrong, I am not hating, just adding my opinion.

What is the point of having two womens world cup maps? We already have the mens map as well.

I see you guys are striving to keep the spirit and the gameplay as close to the original as possible, and if that is the case, then why would you not choose to follow the precedent set by the revamp of the mens map?

Having two maps that are virtually the same in theme and gameplay and the one is basically made from the other...doesn't make sense and is, IMO, overly redundant.

I understand that you wanted to update this map like the mens, but like the mens there should only be one(be it the old one or this one).

Who wsa behind the decision for Beta-testing?

In 2010, 2011 & 2014 we didn't have such a tumbleweed obsession.

Then again, in those days we didnt have a senior administrator that wants no more new maps and to get rid of existing maps.

Bring back Andy and his bananas!

Poor old MrBenn, works hard to get a new map ready in time, but the shopkeeper is out.

Map is beautiful Mr Benn, definitely my favorite in the series of maps. Well done!!!

I have. Gameplay seems good - Canada seems to not be too powerful a territory, which is nice.
I want to check it a tiny bit more, though - make sure the bonuses and objectives register correctly.
Will need a bit of help to make that happen, though - hopefully later today.

the following are my observations as a beta tester.

the qualifier (or qualifying) group bonus of +2 shows correctly on the game overview. i haven't managed to test the objective yet.

the text needs to say deployment 4 troops, no region bonus or something similar; adding a few pixels along the bottom will give the necessary room.

is it supposed to be qualifier groups or qualifying groups? both expressions are on the map, which is unnecessarily confusing.

the Xs to denote non-qualifying teams are hardly visible, especially the one on the line of instructions for canada, though most of the coloured letters beside the flags in the qualifier (or qualifying) groups aren't much better.

in the bonus key near the bottom, qualifier is misspelled as qualifer.

[player]mrbenn[/player], have u asked [player]denominator[/player] to grant access to the beta site? the game that i'm playing is the only human-v-human game for this map on the beta site so far.
