on the clan tab page is there any reason why the players list does not get updated until a game has finished. personally i would prefer games playing added at beginning of war and win as they happen. would make it easier to follow how many games each member has played.

also when watching home games any chance the fog can be lifted so we can see whats going on.

I think this should be a third figure. One for the games you're in, one for the games won, one for the games finished.

We add all players in the beginning of the war. The rest of it is automated, so it's not that we update it / enter them after. That must be how the automation was programmed.

yes, I know it's automated, but I think that codie has a good suggestion having the stat of how many games a player is in while games are still in play seems like a pretty useful information, mostly for clan leaders who have to compose teams for the next batches.

I agree, this is an excellent suggestion from Codie.

From what I can see, it looks like the same kind of automation as is used for autotournaments, which bigWham can change if he wants.
Keefie, why don't you or another CD PM bW and see what he says?

Thanks Codie. We will look into the feasibility of both of these suggestions.

No these take a little more thought and feasibility, and admin still need to give an ok to them. But it's been discussed etc but for now focused on the guaranteed suggestion clan thing that's in beta now

Is that not a downgrade?
Upgrading to DVD's seems like a valid question. What would that stand for?

Morning, CDs...

Once CL7 is finished, we (MMM) wanted to hold an "inner-clan" tournament amongst ourselves. Who do I need to ask (send a PM to) to obtain tourney creation privileges?

Thanks!

Privileges to create tournament games cannot be used for "inner-clan" or private tournaments.

What happened with the CL threads? Why are they locked?

There is an ongoing dispute that started escalating. Multiple appeals are now being reviewed by me and I have locked it to give those involved a cooling off period while the situation is reviewed.
I expect decisions to be made today or tomorrow and thread unlocking should follow if everyone can play nice.

As a clan leader, I'd like to have a poll for my members so that we can make group decisions. How do I do this?

Thanks!

Hey,

It's very easy :)

Start a 'New Topic' as if you're going to make a normal post. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and on the left you'll see two tabs: Options and Poll Creation. Click on Poll Creation and you'll see the various options for creating a customised poll to suit your needs. Come back if you need to ask any further questions.

Happy Polling

As the Clan Tournament Director, and TO of the official clan tournaments you mention, I sometimes like to see what clans think about certain aspects of those tournaments.

With those kind of discussions taking place in public in the past, we ended up with hundreds of posts and opinions, which makes it a lot of hard work sifting through them and get a picture of what clans actually think.

I imagine that that's one of the reasons the CDF forum was set up. A place for clans to discuss and offer their views in a neat, organized manner. A manner very manageable for me in this example. That's what the CDF forum is for, hence that's why I post those threads there and not in public.

Hope that helps,

What Lindax said, plus it's easy for 4-5 from the same clan to dominate discussions and shut down other less aggressive speakers, so we don't actually get some opinions. In addition by holding discussions in CDF, when it comes to votes we can ensure every clan has the same representative vote (1 vote per clan) instead of one very active clan placing 25 votes while one that really only has a few active forum users getting only 1-2 votes.

There's nothing stopping some public discussions, but the main discussion where suggestions / improvements and feedback is considered is held within CDF area so we have an organized, singular place to look for discussion on each event rather then having to track multiple threads, public, private, etc in order to respond to questions.

Cheers

You could have it with more people but keep it one vote per clan to the voting. I think the more people the more ideas get thrown out there but then you can leave it to one vote per clan to making the voting fair maybe? Just an idea as I am not very familiar with the way the clan world works as I only have played in the clan wars. I am hoping to learn a lot more how everything works.

That's been discussed but again, it comes down to making sure opinions aren't being drowned out, and ideally the rep would be discussing with their other leaders / clans so that those opinions are still being gathered / shared

Being a Business man........... Ive always felt the more opinions the better.
Small groups are great for narrowing down thoughts and opinions.
But larger groups tend to bring more substance to a discussion.

With that said Ive felt a 2 level approach has always worked well for me.....
1st Level is ment for general discussion amoungst the "Whole" group of people.
2nd Level is a small group or organized/dedicated people who decipher
what the general group has discussed (but also bring there own thoughts to the table).

Reason behind having the general group discuss topics is they tend to be more
open about their opinions amoungst themselves....then they do when
only speaking directly with their leaders.

Just my Humble opinion............

Having the actual discussion/voting threads in the CD&F doesn't reduce the amount of people that contribute. Leaders of clans, if necessary, will discuss the various options with their clan, who will voice their opinion, and then the clan's decision will be put forward.
