what are the rules for subbing in this? can someone with a higher rank sub the entire game for another player? i know many tournaments have several rules against this.. nit sure if this is one..
on a side note.. i dont know where i read it , and it might have been in clan wars, is there a rule about when subbing you are suppose to wait till the player has 1 hour or less to take the turn? not sure if that was to rule out multis and a site wide thing... or if it was a clan war rule... not that it matters, and no ,, in no way am i accusing my opponent of being a multi.( nor do i suspect that to even be the case) was just not sure where i saw that rule before.

As I've not seen the rule you are referring to, I think it has to be a clan rule. In other type of games, I would expect you would have to ask someone to help you out if you are away and know you can't take your turns.

Regarding tourny games (and other, normal games) I don't like the idea that someone should be a backup for you in case you inadvertently cannot make a move. I think that should be the exception, and only when you know in beforehand that you won't be able to take your turns. So my feels would be that a sub should stay out of tourny games except if the player specifically asks for it in special circumstances to avoid forfeighting his/her games in the tourny because he is not able to take his turns because something will prevent him for a few days.

Clan games is a different matter, though, since if a player skips a turn inadvertently, then the whole clan will suffer for it. If it doesn't, I would say: subs, stay out of it if you are not specifically asked to check on the other games for a specific period of time.
