Your standard game of mafia has seven players, two of whom are mafia. In an eight player game I'd expect there to be one neutral party, maybe a fool that wins if they get lynched, or something along those lines. I don't really see an 8 player game being very balanced with 5v3 or 6v2, although it also depends on the PRs.

You mean a C9 set up has a doc cop and two vanilla mafia, I would argue there is no standard mafia set-up. And my cop & GF logic was as follows. Which sounds more balanced 6 town (cop & doc) v 2 mafia (goons) or 6 town (cop & doc) v 2 mafia (GF + goon). In my open the second one. And I then thought this is a small game it might not have a cop so mafia would have no purpose for a GF.

In the situation where we are at an even number of players there will always be a point where we need to sleep, generally I prefer a lynch first rather than a sleep but someone brought the possibility of their being some 3rd party role in the game which would want me to sleep first in this game.

In the situation where we have a fool mafia can shoot them and we wont have to worry about the fear of lynching.

In the situation where we have a SK they could shoot at eachother in the night and it would become EZ game EZ rares.

But more seriously, what I meant was that we don't have any information past our role and the number of players at the beginning of the game and it is hard to push on anyone until someone says something stupid, which it seems like you think I did.
Really my post was just a general captain obvious statement

@mtam, I do agree that I thought it was interesting that he kept bringing up the GF role, so I can understand jonty, but why did you have neb as a suspect?

Maybe its cause of shit that happened in another game that I dont like him for personal reasons but his first post seemed funny for him to say first to confirm is mafia when I see the first person to post in game is usually mafia.

He didnt really explain the meaning of the post it still doesnt make sense.
