This is a certain secret alliance between these friends and therefore they would be blocked from playing together again. And in this last update lack mentioned that if people cheat to raise their scores a considerable amount then we can reset their scores.

Please pay attention next time.

it's not a secret alliance. it can be announced in game chat but it really does not have to. i've seen players that did everything in their powers to lose (simtom case). what would be wrong if 100 players decided to lose BR? again not any rule breaking and since it's not cheating i don't see how a score reset can be enforced. i join and i want to lose and so do another 100 players. by "pure coincidence" only one wants to win. it can't be proved it's a conspiracy. so why not simply remove the ignore list for BR.

You may have a point that the ignore list causes problems with the Battle Royales....but your example is ludicrous and in my opinion is making you lose this argument.

Of course its completely unrealistic to add 18,000 members to your ignore list, not to mention keeping it updated with all the new members that constantly join. But add to the fact that if you or your friends were not the very first person to join, you would be the ones who are unable to get into the game. Once again, the idea makes no sense.

If you want a practical example of why your situation is immoral and would deserve a point reset, here you go: Take the same situation, where one guy has 10+ friends. If he would only play games with them and they would lose purposely each time, they could all donate him points in a much simpler manner than what you described. Your situation was basically a filibuster of the BR for this mysterious character and his 112 close risk-playing friends.....but if he had enough friends that were willing to purposefully lose games and donate him points, he could just play regular games and get much higher on the scoreboard than the impossible battle royale example. And yes, it would constitute a secret alliance, because they all enter the game with the intention of throwing it to the point hog. And yes, it would be deserving of a point reset at the very least.

Well actually they don't need to be the first to join. I'm sure with 100 people working towards the same goal, they can overcome a few party crashers.

The main problem is just putting enough people on the ignore list. Probably putting a little less than the top half of CC users would suffice since most people around 1000 just joined the site and aren't really into the forums just yet. Thats still thousands of people, and if you can pull it off then nice job.

I do think it's breaking the rules though, because otherwise there could be a group of 4 friends that set up a bunch of 6 player standard games in which they announce alliances with each other. Those 4 would always be able to overpower the other 2, and so one of the 4 would always be winning, causing the easiest 4 player rise to the top ever.

If they cheat, yes, but none of it would really be cheating since nothing of it is forbidden. Everyone could declare a NAP with this one person who would win the BR and there would be no secret alliances any more. I know that this is for all practical purposes impossible to pull off, but theoretically it's doable. And the underlying problem still remains, some people can't join the BR because they're on someone elses ignore list.

And people are not always on them for a good reason either. Some time ago I at first couldn't join a private game because one of the other players had me on his ignore list, he wasn't completely sure why I was there either, I don't think we had even played in any games together before that.

i'm not looking for an argument here. i just wanted to point out the fact that ignore lists should not be taking into consideration for the battle royale. it's really stupid that they are. and i just thought of the most exaggerated example possible to prove my point.

let's look at it another way. i am a guy with absolutely no life and i'm filled with frustration. i also have a buddy that's just like me. we use the internet to relive our frustrations and we decide ruining the fun for people is the best way. so since we have absolutely no life we stay online 24/7 and put people on ignore list. we use just my account so the things run faster. it should not take really long. let's say i put 1 guy every 10 seconds. that's 6/minute 360 per hour. we take 12 hour shifts each of us controlling my account and putting people on ignore. from those 12 hours let's say we use 2 hours for basic needs like eating or going to the toilet. so in one day we put 7200 people on ignore. in under 3 days we'll have the whole site on our list. now we keep taking shifts and when the BR starts me or my mate join the BR using my account. totally possible. clearly someone that does this is a mental case but it is possible. what happens now? is the BR getting canceled?

and let's say i only put the top 7000 players on ignore (it takes one day) it would be a major spoiler for the top guys.

Once again, your example detracts from your point. You have a simple and fairly important concern and you make it overly complicated with examples which would never happen. If the scenario you just listed occurred, then I think the mod squad would make a decision to probably delete that battle royale and start a new one (if no one could join the game it would expire in 30 days anyway). And once again if these hypothetical players weren't the first to join they wouldn't be able to get in because everyone already in there would be on their ignore list. But that is all unnecessary drivel because your example is illogical.

The real problem is simple- if someone is on another person's ignore list, one of them won't be able to join the battle royale. That's a realistic concern (especially since it already happened) and its a situation that might warrant fixing by itself. No absurd illustration is needed

I didn't break any rules.

Yet me and PassIsPaws got banned from playing together. The admins are yet to reply to me what rules we broke... instead they just close any topic I create about it saying "they've already explained it" when they haven't.

Ok, I think you guys are trying to take Dim's hypothetical situation way too far. He's trying to use a ludicrous example to point out a flaw in the system so I don't see why so many people are trying to discuss the logistics of actually employing that plan? He's trying to spark awareness and hopefully a solution to the problem of persons getting barred from BR just cause they are on an ignore list, not come up with some sort of crazy plan to dominate BR and point whore. Instead many characters in this thread (including the mod himself) are either blind to the simple point he's trying to make or purposely ignoring a problem that should be corrected so everyone can enjoy BR.

I don't see why his example has to be criticized for its absurdity or judged for its content. His point is valid and his example is interesting as well as entertaining. Ever read "A Modest Proposal"? I don't think people took the situation less seriously just cause Swift proposed for everyone to eat babies. Same situation here, though a BR game is less serious than famine by a slight bit.

What is absurd is everyone trying to discredit his example or figure out the logistics of what he proposes. Additionally Iceman's asinine responses albeit occassionally humorous doesn't help address the problem at all coupled with the fact that he is supposed to be an authority figure here and instead of taking the problem seriously he seems to ignore the existence of it.

I think it's possible to join games that have been started by someone who is on your ignore list if you use the game finder to get them to show up, they can't join yours, though, even if they use the gamefinder.
