Well, I didn't really think that that's what you were going for.
Okay... Thomas Jefferson, who appears on Mt. Rushmore, made the Louisiana Purchase, which included the land where "Sue" was found, from France, but they later regretted it, which is why the flag is upside down? Frances McDormand/Fargo were not involved.
Yeah, I'm grasping at straws.

Sorry the French flag is upside down but it was the best French stone I could find... Since that was what I meant by it.
The T-rex is named Sue.

Guess I made that one too difficult.
I meant: Fargo, Pierre (a stone in French), Mount Rushmore and t-rex Sue
All are (or were) found in South Dakota (Pierre being the capital city), Fargo however is in North Dakota.

Unfortunately I have still never seen Fargo :}
Wanna try another one?

I took two years of French a long time ago, but not much of it stayed with me. Googling "French Rock" returns music links, and "French Stone" returns lots of ads for Rosetta Stone software, so I didn't get that part of the connection. Try again if you like.

I realize there's more than 1 plausible answer here. Give me some please.

Halloween, Independence Day, and Groundhog Day relate to specific days. The Day After Tomorrow is not

Columbus Ohio, Denver Colorado, and Jackson Mississippi are the capitals and largest cities in their respective states.
As a side note, why can't the Jacksons leave their noses alone?

I'll try to get one up later today. I have an idea, but sometimes it's tough to find the right examples and pictures.

TL is from "Drive"
BR is from "Alien"
Are those the ones you didn't know?

Is Drive the only one where nothing gets blown up?
or do Sigourney Weaver and Marilyn Monroe
both have web feet and gills?

I don't think anything gets blown up in The Seven Year Itch either, but I've never seen it. This is more about the characters.

Ellen Ripley (Sigourney Weaver in Alien) is the odd one, the others ('Driver, ''Mariner' and 'The girl') don't have a first and surname in their movies.

The image you posted has Ms. Monroe's dress being 'blown up.'
