i also believe that Ak should be demoted. he is obviously abusing his power. I think there should be a CC wide vote on who the new mod should be.

I agree with you there. I may have been readin the wrong topics but I haven't seen Kyle in a while and I understand he is under 18. That may be a bit...hectic... Though I don't know how old gilligan is. If anyone wants to be come mod They should probably be above 18.Like me!!!...jk I think

I don't think it matters the age. I have been active in the Map Foundry, helping people out there, and I'm getting active in Cheating/Abuse Reports and helping people there.

Also, I have experience. I am a mod on another forum.

Well I do have to say all of a sudden you were there and I had no idea who you were but since then you'vew just been everywhere helping people and stayng that way which I think is very good. How old are you by the way?

Quite possibly the worst Conquer Club idea I've ever seen. What is it about the Internet that makes so many neophytes of the real world think that every resource that exists on the Internet is somehow democratic?

It is definitely up to the current mods.

And, I just thought of something. Why is moz976 a mod? He doesn't do anything.

Oh he deals with suggestions mostly. Tends to post, "It's been suggested before, see the To-Do list" quite a lot. Still, I would like it if he were more active and would voice his opinion on certain issues, such as the ongoing spamalot row.

Moz does quite a lot actually... more than I do at least. He handles the suggestions mostly, the to-do list, answers tons of emails sent via the contact form, give me back rubs, etc... He is SUPERMAN afterall.

The only place I'm concerned about mods really is the map foundry, I don't care much about anywhere else.

Anyway...

My suggestion is that you run an election every 6 months for 2 community elected mods. They will then serve a 6 month term unless they are kicked out for something or step down. They can at that time run for re-election, or you could make it so they can't be a mod for consecutive terms. Either way it should make most people happy, as we seem to have a recent increase in mod requests and recommendations.

As far as hierarchy for community elects in relation to other mods, I think they should be mod squad members, but considered below all the lack appointed ones. If anyone even likes this idea.

correct. and the tourney person. or other assorted advisors. not that they don't contribute in their specialized area, they do tremendous work.. work I would not want to do!
