I don't like spoiling the fun, but despite the fact that in many cases physical quanta are quite small, the term quantum leap means a change from one distinct level to another, as opposed to a gradual and perhaps imperceptible change on a continuum of values, so it is not as worthy of mockery as it might first appear. Just sayin'.
