yes, we knew that from the get go, and the point system should prevent it.. but you still have to win the ones where you go 2nd for it to kick in

Well, Jacob-ski and I managed to draw some blood in our second-round matchup, and a surprising amount of it. First-turn only won 2 out of 5 matches, second-turn won three times.

Rulechange for next tournament?

the trend that going 1st equals win in a far to high % of the games for this pointsystem to even kick in looks like the trend, so for the next tournament i had this idea..
Example
Player A vs. Player B
Player A gets first turn and is only allowed to deploy his troops no attacks allowed
Player B got 2nd turn and is allowed to both deploy and attack on his first round
so effectively the turn-order is now reversed but Player A got a bonus-stack of 10-18 troops so even if he is now effectivly going 2nd he has some back up to get back in the game..
could this be a good solution to the problem?
this would in that case be the rules for the next issue of this tournament, the semi-finals and finals will continue after the format stated in 1st post..

Certainly lots of luck came into play, especially the 5/2 drop in the finals ... fun tourney, thanks for organizing!
This was my first 1v1 tourney. Perhaps I'll retire now, undefeated.
