There's a west Island of New Zealand?
I guess it's that really big one that has 6 states and it's bigger than New Zealand.

In other words: Australia.

LOL ...
Any one of the 6 states Australian is bigger than the two islands off the east coast of Australia...are they what we are referring to as New Zealand? :-k

You sure about that, what about Tasmania? That's pretty small, but then again, so is New Zealand.

I think you might want to try using a graphics program, and do a crayon effect...I don't think youll get away with drawing one.

and people ask for draft after draft after draft...youll get sick of drawing it. ive done like over 50 drafts of the map im working on now...

Yes, that probably is the wisest move, as soon as I figure out where the crayon effect is in Paint Shop Pro.

Incidentally, I like how people started a whole conversation about New Zealand but no one's seemed to notice there's no Japan or Caribbeans either.

Actually, a thought just occurs. Unless there are duplicates, any fewer than 25 territories and there wouldn't be enough cards to go around for a higher-number-player game.

How about for quick games with only 3 or 4 players?

Not everything has to be about large maps with hundreds of countries (KoM, Chinese Checkers and soon to be Senate!)
How about for balance? For variety?

I like the idea of combining crayon with satire & Bush-wacking...
how about drawing it as if bush drew it in crayon? some suggestions:-
~ a bit of finger painting?
~ america in the middle of the map?
~ more pics: camels, terrorists, commies, etc?
~ mark the big bit at the bottom-right West New Zealand: it's smaller geographically, but bigger intellectually & culturally
