I only ask because while I don't ride a bicycle, I do ride my motorcycle nearly every day, and for some reason those fucking fake rednecks think it's funny to do that shit to me. These people must live fucking sad lives when they go out of their way to maneuver into my line and release smoke, not to mention the potential traffic hazard. Luckily I can just zip around them, but sometimes I'm unable to and get a lungful of smoke.

Anyway, it's annoying.

Exactly, & well put. Those bicyclists were all on the shoulder, many of them stopped, so the truck could get by easily. It's just a b*tch move to spray people like that.

Exactly. I've been spit on just once, and that little motherfucker ran for his life - even though I was being held back by my friends. If anyone spits on you, you have to kill them. There are asshole bikers, there are asshole drivers, there are asshole doctors, and there are asshole cops. Assholes are everywhere. The minute you start assuming an entire group of people are assholes because you've witnessed similar people to them being assholes, is the minute you become an (even bigger) asshole yourself.

like so, only different paint job and exhaust pipe, but around my location it's only "cool" to ride ugly, fat, and slow hogs and where leather jackets and chaps. So if you ride anything not American like yamaha or honda, then people f*ck with you. My stepmom had her yamaha r1 run over by a truck while it was in a parking lot, and the guy (presumably) left. We figured it was intentional.

And btw I'm not too fond of bicyclists either, especially when they're riding around in a manner that clearly is dangerous with heavy motorized vehicles driving around, but I don't f*ck with them. I may yell at them on occasion when they pull stupid shit in the middle of traffic, but I don't pull dick moves.

I play CC...slowly. I usually only have 1 or 2 games going.

Right, but bikers do go above and beyond. I believe it, and so do many other people.

Sometimes, just sometimes, stereotypes are deserved and can be transformed into expected characteristics.

Well Koolbak, I both loved and dis-loved the video.

I ride bikes frequently, but am totally annoyed at the attitude some cyclists have. The ones who blatantly dis-obey signals and basic traffic rules. But, I love to honk at them then and see how they react! (my kids hate that part, but how will they learn??)

But, these cyclists weren't doing anything too annoying.... but still funny

I wish to formally apologise for my behaviour in this thread. My temper got the better of me, and I regret that. While I do stand by my opinion, the way in which I expressed it was unacceptable. It was not only unacceptable for a moderator, but for anyone. Simply put, I broke the rules which I'm supposed to enforce. I particularly want to apologise to KoolBak who was the main target of my ire.

Hmm- If I may offer my opinion- what the hell?

I can accept that you shouldn't have used the language you did, but I've been called worse by mods and not needed to resort to complaints. I think the best option here would be for the poster or posters who were involved in this discussion and took it to the level of an official complaint to own up.

I'd love it if all mods could be as saintly as Andy, but there will always be mods who want to be part of the community too in terms of an argumentative level. Dukasaur called me a Nazi recently, and Nightstrike declared that I was trying to destroy Israel on a couple of threads that I made talking generally about the future of of the Arab-Israel conflict. I took those very seriously but I don't want to see either kicked off the forums.

Because I can handle that, and I understand that both take their moderation duties seriously and, as far as I can tell without bias.

Indeed, I disagree with Nightstrike all the time- we almost never agree, but I would trust him to deal with a complaint fairly because he's principled, and whatever I can say about him, he's a guy who sticks to his principles.

Ive almost been killed on my 12 speed a few times. Once someone threw an apple or something at 60mph which missed my face by less than an inch. Theres almost no chance Id have been wiped out by it. Another time, a truck pulled in front of me and I smashed into the hood. I missed the A pillar by 2 one foot. Had I hit it. Theres a good chance Id be dead. I used to pedal a solid 35 on the flats. As it was my eyes were literally rolling in my head, and I had a pretty decent concussion.

I have had my fun though. Once a carload of girls screamed. When I caught up to them a half mile later and screamed back, Ill guess one had a stoke and two peed themselves. I also caught up to a guy who blared the horn just to be an ass. I woke him up pretty well. You cant underestimate the speed of a bike if there are traffic lights involved. I wouldnt be surprised if I actually dented his roof on that one. Not that I meant to.

I always obeyed the laws though, except sometimes the speed limit.
