The government paying Halliburton has nothing to do with Micheal Moore's stock in it.

Everybody: Take it down a notch on the conservatives.

Seriously, you guys are kinda warping some of the stereotypes into their extreme form. Yes, most of that stuff is true, but just lighten up a tid-bit.

And for those who care, I consider myself a liberal (Barack Obama is the man)

The government pays halliburton, and since this is an open deal, it would be smart (or not stupid) to invest stock into a company you KNOW a company is making.

Which is smart, but I am saying that it is hypocritical since Michael Moore said himself:

When was Bush hypocritical? I live right across the lake from New Orleans. Does that give you any clue? But my favorite is still the "Patriot Act". Take away our constitutional rights and call it "patriotism", and you flag waving Bush lovers are cheering him on - all so you can feel safe and secure in your middle class, Beaver Cleaver environment.

This was not the reason for going into Iraq, and it's common knowledge that Al Qaeda is opperating in Iraq today.

Yes it was...well there were two reasons. WMDs being one of them, the other is how some of the organizers of 9-11 where being sponsored by the Iraqi gov't. I can't find the video of Bush saying this on YouTube, but I've seen it there before.

Before this thread got hijacked...

One of my pet peeves is people who can't proceed through a four way stop in the order the stopped in. What could be simpler and more intelligent than stopping at a stop sign and all the cars proceeding in the order they stopped in?

I pull up to a stop sign and there is already a car sitting there. I fiddle with the radio glance at my fingernails, look up and the car is still sitting there! I squint through the windshield and the idiot is waving at me.

Great. How are you being polite or considerate? But taking a simple situation like a four way stop and introducing doubt and confusion by refusing to go in the prescribed order you are making me less safe. There is nothing polite about that...

If you get there first, you need to go first. It's pretty aggravating to get stuck behind someone who is afraid to go. And no, i don't believe these people are being nice, as much as they're being timid. If you get there at the same time as someone else, the person on the right has the right of way. All these timid, hesitant people are really starting to clog up the roads. Cops giving tickets for timid hesitant driving? Right on!

Fucking cop nailed me today for the most ridiculous reason possible;

"Letting another driver go ahead at a four way stop (obstruction of traffic)".

In short, I was nice and let someone else go when I had the right of way, and got punished for it.

Must be quota time.

Its called the rules of the road... the cop was justified in what he did. He should have "nailed" the driver who you let go ahead of you since they were the one who did not have the right of way.

Before they were moved to Syria or someplace else.... yeah most likely.

You have no leg to stand on he presented it as fact with "yeah most likely."
You're finished there's no dispute it's not like a mere opinion.
Wrap it up.

It was the VERY FIRST reason, then they said well since they don't have ties to al qaeda then it was because they had wmd's. After they found out they didn't he said that it was because Saddam was a bad man. After Saddam is gone its because "we've fucked up their country, we cant surrender now."

He does. Thing is, jay said "They were moved to Syria", he's stating it as fact without proof. The yeah most likely bit is simply to say that Iraq had them, not to cast reasonable doubt on the matter.
