Sign ups here will not count! (though you can show your support for season 2 of this terrific event)

To join in the fun, look out for the [TPA] events in the create/join thread every Monday from 1st August.

Bart - great to see the new thread up and I'm ready to go with the first tournament of the season on August 1st.

I'm guessing that demand will be high for event 1, so I plan to make the number of entrants scalable and close sign-ups after a week when event 2 is out.

While I was not active participating in season 1 of TPA due to missed scoring system which favorized quantity of the tournaments played much more than achieved results, I see that season 2 has much better scoring system and therefore I really regret that I wont be able to participate in this due to my recent decision to leave the site after finishing my ongoing challenges. This should be one of top challenges that the site can offer and I wish to everyone to have a ton of fun in being part of the season. big congrats for the idea and execution of the event. =D>

After 48 hours, then it is up to the TO to do a Mass PM, but speaking for myself...I hate getting spammed for tourneys!

And on a side note, it looks like USA will beat The World in The Ricco Cup (Best of the Best from Season 1 of TPA)...Team America, F*** Yeah!

Well it's already been Monday for several hours in the UK and Europe now, and I think a good chunk of America and Canada too, so here it is:

Back to School - start of TPA season 2

Good luck to everyone competing for the trophy

So how does one become a TO for one of these events? Contact a Director... or something else?
I see rules for being sanctioned, but do we apply in some way?

Fuzzy, contact [player]barterer2002[/player]. The rule is that you must have successfully run previous CC tournaments, be committed to running this one through and not have been replaced as a TO for any touranment during the preceding 12 months.

The TO schedule for the next few months at least is full.

I've forgotten and can't find it here, but what exactly do the winners and top 3 get for the series? I assume it's more than just brownie points?

Top 3 get GA medals for season 1 (I'm assuming this is the same for season 2, but haven't seen it confirmed)

leaders in week 52 from USA and Rest of World get to captain the sides in the Ricco Cup over the Summer (if they want).

leader in week 52 gets to host the opening tourney of season 3 (if they want)

Plus you get 52 weeks of fun, frustation when the dice are going against you and elation when it's going well.
