Yes, because Star Wars is a completely original story that in no way borrows from anything that came before it.
They are both groundbreaking, wonderful projects that mean a lot to people. Really no need to pick a winnah here, but to be a joiner, I picked HP. If we're going movie versus movie, Star Wars absolutely rules, but in terms of the broader story and universe, I prefer Harry.
Star Wars is not a completely original story.....It was based on Akira Kurosawa's "The Hidden Fortress" While Lucas only admits that THF was the "inspiration" for Star Wars, its pretty obvious to those that have ever watched THF that Star Wars is a complete rip off of that film...
Even so, Star Wars still kicks ass all over Harry Twatter.
