As an addition, to help avoid freestyle delay tactics, maybe make it so you can only propose it before you click begin turn, and the vote is off to the side so it wont interfere with the map
Or maybe have you vote, it shows up next to your name saying "Wants to go to Casual", then everyone can see that. No annoying pop ups or anything like that.
My concern wasn't popups, rather a voting mechanism that works like cards, where you have to respond before you can do anything else. Voting at all needs to be optional and should default to no. If voting is forced at any point it could be used to stall an opponent at a crucial moment.
Right. I'm picturing it as a little checkbox next to your name that you mark and then other players can see that you are interested in doing it. Noone is forced to do vote or anything.
taking a break from cc, will be back sometime in the future.

I foresee that this could mess up the Battle Royales.

Seems like almost everyone likes this suggestions. I like it. I would start a lot more speed games if I knew that there was a possibility of going casual for games lasting a long time.
I like the idea too. I think the best option is for these conditions to be part of game setup, i.e. Set a time limit for speed game during setup (sat 90 minutes) after which it would become casual automatically, That avoids the awkward stalling issue that could happen when someone needs to leave.
Be able to convert ongoing speed games into a casual game, with consent of all participating players
Specifics/Details:
If you are in a speed game and either cannot finish the game for whatever reason, or even if you just don't want to, you can click a button saying you want to convert it ti a casual game. You click it on your turn, and on the next players turn, they will be asked if they want the game to become casual, etc. If ALL players click accept, the game converts to casual
How this will benefit the site and/or other comments:
Sometimes people start a speed game and need to leave, if the opponents understand this, they can click convert to casual to help out the player that needs to leave. Also games become stale sometimes, and that sucks. So if all players agree, it is better then having people deadbeat
Idk how possible this suggestion is, I am just throwing it out there
I like this suggestion. In fact, I like it so much, I actually suggested it about a year ago
But, as far as I know, it was not accepted.. so go ahead. Hope its done this time!
