you should be the winner Sir Sebstar, our game together was hard but you finally won it because of spoils.
I'm stuck at ten victories including two games running. Well done.

Considering I have beaten you, that would not look good for you..
Just like the last time i went head to head with highlanderattack who had beaten me, so he took home the title with equal wins..

I must say these settings make it much closer.. who else is close??

we want an update , pretty please? ;-)

I guess you are right.
Is it a fair rule? I think not, especially since you had the first turn in our game.
But the rule was clearly stated, so I won't complain.

The first time I had to reread the rule and ask for a clarification.
The trouble is, this particular map (but also the arms race map, coupled with fog makes a 1st turn very attractive.
Except, i have had 7 first starts and 8 seconds, so by that logic i would have had a harder time. In fact of the 4 games lost, i only lost one 2nd start game and 3 1st start games. Wierd would you not think so?
I imagine that having the first turn in a 17 positions map does not matter so much maybe as the usefullness of your dice. After all you get only 5 extra toops, but you need to kill at least 9 to make a real difference.
So it comes down to the luck of the drop, of you start with a bonus or can secure a real good bonus in the first turn, then the game can be a shooing. However I had few good drops and still managed to break my opponant when he did have a good drop.. Luck and skill go hand in hand, and you cannot use one without the other.
Talking about luck, there were two games where I threw a majority of double kills, those games end pretty quickly and horrificly.. Overall it balances out, but when its you versus me for the victory and i get lucky, yea, that sucks.

Dont think me patronizing, I felt the way you did. But in the end its a gameconcept thats quite fair and predictiable. The result between us might not be, but the concept is okay. Next time you can just win it outright!

Also, its far from over, there are still 4 people's who can get to 12 wins. so its going to be tight!

I had 5 first starts, and 10 seconds.
Out of the 4 losses, I had 3 second starts.

You don't need to kill 9 troops to make a difference, the 5 extra troops in itself is the advantage, not to mention being able to reinforce first.

To make it more fair, more games should be played. But it would really help if it was possible to assign the player who gets the first turn and then play best out of 4 or 6.

But then again, I'm not complaining. It's an interesting debate though.

More games could be played, I agree, but it is not the format of this tournament. I have to say, I loose points in this tournament, even if i win it. A loss for me is between 30 and 40 or more poinst. a win less then 10. I may win 15/11 but overall i loose points. If there were a lot more games, i do not think i could participate, even if i wanted too. 15 is already a huge load to bear extra.

Other then that, there is another player who will likely get 11 games who also defeated you.. ouch that.

Game 8658955 and Game 8658888 are the last 2 ongoing games.
Both games have reached a state where you could say they are likely to win the game. However we have seen upsets before, and the distance is not that big... Happy hunting Lads and Lady's
