Yes that seems like the only reasonable solution, God, who made me knowing I'd become an atheist is not killing me for being an atheist cause he's very kind, however he will be laughing at me while I spend eternity in hell because of being the way he created me(I'm assuming he's laughing WITH me, otherwise it wouldn't be very kind).

What I don't believe in is magic, or that the Bible is irrefutable. The Bible is riddled with HUGE gaping holes. I'll name a few examples that are from different angles.
A.N. Wilson, who wrote the biography of Jesus called attention to a couple of mistranslations in the Bible. First there was a mistranslation in Isiah's Hebrew word for a "young woman" into the Greek word for "virgin." This mistranslation means that the Bible should read that Mary was a young woman but instead it reads that she was a virgin. A second mistranslation was from the Aramaic word "NAGGER" into the Greek word for CARPENTER. The story of Joseph should say that he was a "learned man," not a Carpenter.

Micah 5: 2 had lead Jews to believe the Christ would be born in Bethlehem. John's gospels specifically says how surprised everyone was that Jesus was not born in Bethlehem!!!
But in spite of this Matthew and Luke both must have decided that Jesus had to be born in Bethlehem, yet they don't agree on how it happened. Matthew claims that Joseph and Mary lived in Nazareth before Jesus was born.
Luke on the third hand believes that Joseph was required by a census imposed by Caesar Augustus and Cyrenius (governor of Syria) to 'go to his own city.' Because Joseph was 'of the house and lineage of David' he was required to go to the 'city of David, which is called Bethlehem.' Luke believes that this is when Jesus was born. This doesn't make any sense because if David did exist, he lived almost a thousand years BEFORE Joseph was born. Why would the Roman emperor require Joseph to go to the city of an extremely remote ancestor? Can you even trace your family back a thousand years? Furthermore, historians all agree that there was actually a census conducted under Cyrenius. But it was only a local one. And it happened in AD 6.
Three people, all factually incorrect, and all disagree on the birthplace and reason. All from the Bible.
Everything from the Christmas story was taken from other religions that already existed in the Mediterranean. Actually, a lot of Jesus's story was taken from other religious. Robert Gillooly wrote a nice book that explains the true origins. The epistles of Paul also fail to mention most of the Bibles version of Jesus's life. Much of it was a fabrication.

The story of "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone" is a complete forgery. A monk added it to the Bible; Jesus never said it.

The same story is afforded to having happened to two separate people; Genesis 19: 31-6 and Judges 19: 23-4. They also say a lot about what your religion thinks about women (Judges 25-6 & Judges 19: 29). I mean, there are a lot of stories in the Bible about what mean really thought of women. From Moses ordering his men to keep and rape virgin children (Numbers 31: 18) to Abraham sending his wife to the Pharaoh (Genesis 12: 18-19 & later again in Genises 20: 2-5) to God ordering Jephthah to burn his daughter (Judges chapter 11). But I'm getting off my point - sorta.

Anyway I could go on and on. There's just a wealth of information to refute your assertion online. I could also name a few more books for you to read too. The Bible is the last book that you want to read for historical accuracy. And besides this, my overall message here is that there is no reason for you to believe in God. The book you are basing your beliefs on is largely a forgery.

Flaw is simple logic (free will):

You also touched upon the idea of "Free Will" (it's your choice). Free Will and a literal interpretation of the Bible are completely incompatible. Here's why:

- Can an omnipresent God have the omnipotence to change his mind?

- God made Eve directly; he shaped her brain, and her consciousness. But he also knows the future - so he knew with every change that he made exactly how should would behave in the future. Therefor he made the decision for her that she would steal the fruit. And yet he still punished her for it. Why? Why would a God who loves punish his creations for doing what he made them do? This idea of knowing what the future of his creations continue onto us. Mankind can't have free will as a consequence.

a) This also condemned future generations of women to be satirized as "wicked," "unintelligent," and "weak." Why would he do that? (That's not even to mention how God's decision to kill himself on the cross condemned the future of the Jews as Christ killers. You can ponder how loving of a decision that was on your own. Jesus's death helped to directly bring Adolf Hitler's schemes to fruition.)

b) He condemned innocent people with "original sin" for Eve doing what he made her do? Then he killed himself because Eve did what he made her do and he wanted to use the excuse to play the hero?

-Why make the Devil at all?

- God was surprised that Eve took the fruit. Why would he act surprised if he knew that she took it? Unless he lied.... which opens up a whole other can of worms...

- God knows the future... he can't know it if it isn't inevitable. So we have no control of the future.

- The Bible explains the end of days. It can't know that if the future isn't set. So we have no control of our future.


You talked a lot about how you know that God loves you just because you believe it. But it's a love with conditions. It's not the perfect love that you want to imprint upon me. Why are you so willing to accept the idea that God's one special rule is that you have to believe in him even if he offers you no reason to?

It doesn't matter at all to me, as I don't take the Bible literally. I might take it as parable or inspiring, but never as literal fact. My post was to show that the Bible does have fallacies and mistakes in it. And to show that you can't take it literally. So it doesn't detract from the Bible, for me, to know the mis-translations.

Well, the point of it all was that there is no agreement of where Jesus was born or how he got there. The Authors knew that the Christ was supposed to be born in Bethlehem, so they all tried to make the story make sense. It's just another reason to not take the Bible as literal fact.

I wrote about this once, how free will and omniscience can't coexist.

If an omniscient being exist, then that omniscient being knows everything that has ever happened and everything that is going to happen to everything. In order for any being to know that, there must be a pre-determined future, and poof, there goes free will.
