Re: [Feedback Requested] Teammate Spoils II
Making the card a solid color is a fantastic solution...
I like Dako's script, but I assume this would remove the share spoils option. It would be automatically visible which is definitely a plus.

Re: [Feedback Requested] Teammate Spoils II
Why not put the new spoil icons next to the names in the Players list?
Re: [Feedback Requested] Teammate Spoils II
I like Mr Benn suggestion of making the territory card you ownbold or at least bracketed or underlined. Something to make it stand out like it does currently.
I also love the idea to see teammates spoils

Yes, I agree that keeping the same spoils format for my spoils is a must have thing.
Also, solid color on the map - good idea as well.

why can't you just have an option to enable or disable whatever format you guys choose? This way if the the user is not happy with the layout then he/she can turn it on/off when ever the want to? Sounds simple enough to me?

Because when you have options - you need to support each of them. And it gives much more work for admins - they will add less features this way because they will spend all teh free time supporting your options.

I'm reluctant to that, the screen is already crowded and it just feels wrong to print redundant information![]()
I disagree, the screen isn't too crowded as it is in my opinion
Also, I much prefer the previous proposal, I'm also a fan of keeping my cards under the map, and not having to hover to get the territory name.
Plus, in freestyle speed games i want to be able to glance at my cards, not have to look around the map for a box or hover.
Sorry to be negative

What about in doubles, you collect spoils as a team and use them as a team?

why are people lazy?????? use the mouse or dont use the mouse.... either way you will need to use it... anyways you only use your spoils in the begginning of your turn..... not like its an action game with constant action going on like a first person shooter.... quit complaining and have fun playing.... there is way too much complaining going on in the real world to be bringing it in our cyber world

Considering this is your first post, I will go easy on you. In a speed game it is always action. Especially in freestyle. Multi tasking is 100% key. Seeing as you have never played one I will let it slide. Nobody is being lazy here.

Sorry, but this is wrong. As Bruce said - not many people can keep such an easy info as 4 names+colors in their head. People like to waste time to look at them instead of remembering them ;).
But anyway, you need all the action links near the map when you play speed freestyle. It is must, believe me.

Some people like to plan their moves. For example, if you know you have x spoil, you may wish to take that region in order to capitalize on the +2 drop at cash.
Some people play multiple games at once. Remembering which spoils they have for which of their 50 games is possible, but unlikely, for a vast majority of players.
Some players like to play speed, or freestyle games, or the most daring, freestyle speed games. In those sorts of games, every extra move you do for "planning purposes" detracts from the time you have to do it.
All these are reasons not to "hide" any player information. These are also all reasons not to SHOW team information in the same manner - because then the player could confuse/misread who had which spoils. So, I can see the viability of a show/hide option for teammates. But for the player, the information should remain as convenient as current ways.
But you know.. once the system programs in a way to show who has which spoil, is the next round of add-ons going to enable a player to see his opponent's spoils, too?

Get real. This info is not exposed anywhere on the site.

Re: [Feedback Requested] Teammate Spoils II
Picked no for some other reason. Why? I'll explain. Spoils in the stats is Good. I don't like the highlighted spoils on the map. Oh, this must be partnerintime12's map. I thought it was showing all the spoils for both partners. It just seems really busy. You asked for my opinion. But, I'm a falling rank star so ... I'm sure the majority will win.

Why? This version makes it easy to see where they are on the map.
Because people want to read names rather than have to hover over some 1/4 in cards to see what they have.

Re: [Feedback Requested] Teammate Spoils II
I don't like the hover option. I play from my phone 60% of the time and a net book 35% of the time and tend to hate hover boxes on both as they don't work well on them, or they hover off the screen. On the net book, i can see the map or the stats but never both. reading the cards isn't that difficult, and i prefer it.
other wise i am all for this idea

Yeah i agree hovering over the cards would be a big hassle that dosnt really give any benefit that i see...
At least for your own spoils, im fine with having to hover over my teammates spoils to see what they are so that it saves space

Agree and raise you one: having your own spoils show like they do now, helps emphasize which ones you own, and is more immediate need. Hovering over teammates can be done between-plays while you examine the map to plan your own play.

Re: [Feedback Requested] Teammate Spoils II
I voted for yes, though I'd need to actually play using the spoils this way to see if I could get used to not being able to see the territory names of the spoils easily.
Re: [Feedback Requested] Teammate Spoils II
I've never played a speed game, but I don't understand why those people would want to keep their spoils right below the map. You still only check your spoils once, before every turn, don't you? You have to use the action keys at least 3 times (deploy, end attacks, end fortifications) and likley much more. With the spoils down in the table it puts the action keys closer to the map. I love the new layout.
Now, I can understand why hovering to see spoils would be a pain for speed games as that would take more time away from your allotment for each turn.
Voted "Yes, I want this!" but, I also like MrBenn's suggestion of making the colour of the card completely solid if you hold it and the addition of the colour-blind to the tooltip. Also, I'm always in favor of making anything (i.e. borders) easier to see.
