since he didn't use the form, can't take is seriously. I put as much effort into my response as he did with his "suggestion".

By the way, I like the idea.. so Coleman, if you're not going to do it, I'll put it in a form for you, if you don't mind :)

I don't care, I don't want credit, I just want more toys, if that requires some sort of form, then by all means.

No Fortifications option, not unlike the "adjacent", "chained", or "unlimited" options. This option speaks for itself, so lets skip the mumbo jumbo, and go straight to the urgency!

I believe that the Urgency is 3.5, because it isn't that hard to do, and could be a fun option in games.

All credit goes to coleman ;)

Thanks,
John

I think this would Feel Limiting....It could Work but It might also turn into an unending battle...the last 2 players would just keep running through eachothers territory by deploying everything in one area

Sure you could plan fortification during your deployment but once a player does that...then his enemy will deploy a massive force to run over it ....I don't know Set Up A POLL

It sounds like a good idea I would never do it though.

Sounds more like a rather horrific nightmare to me. No Cards I don't mind, Chained fortifications I dislike, Adjacent fortifications I hate, No Fortifications I would hate more and if it were combined with No Cards I think I would hang myself!

But, since I know I am going to be told to just avoid playing the games, why not have some more options! \:D/

if you want to have more options

we can also have an option where you can just fortify 10 armies in total every turn.

or only fortify inside your continent.

or fortify from any place to any place

or only fortify (non-border)countries

and if we dont have enough then we can also combine fortifying styles.

i like the suggested idea btw :)

If we ever have that many you should need to click a more options button to see them, just saying, clutter is bad.

On that note, and not to hijack my own topic, there has been some private talk amongst foundry members of maybe suggesting doing this with maps as well. Showing the more popular ones on top and having a more maps button to see the rest, or handle it with pages even.

all that he failed to put was a priority. seeing as some things are pretty hard to define then a priority isn't really necessary all the time. and come on there wasn't exactly anything else he could put to make life easier.

as for the actual suggestion i can see the reason for it but it would create some messed up games. if u go into oz then any armies u go in there with will never escape unless u get attacked.

Why not? (BTW, didn't I suggest this already? lol)

but then you would spend the whole time building up your armies to attack his 3 and then you would and you would get bad dice get pissed off chuck your mouse across the room and say if only i could forti those 20 armies sitting in asia

I was wondering if there could be a mode where there are absolutely no fortifications... it would make the game sorta interesting, any thoughts on the idea? :?:

This idea was brought up a few weeks/months ago I remember. It was met with some people liking it, and others hating it. But no ruling was ever made on rejection or not.

Yeah it was my idea. And I'm not even sure I like it, but I had it, so I posted it.

"No fortification" game option?

As well as escalating, chained and adjacent, I think a "no fortification" option would be interesting - it would increase strategy of deployment and increase the amount of forethought you put into your planning...
