Unless I'm mistaken isn't an attempt to have the most active games ever?
So it does not appear to me to be intentional point dumping. Just gross overload.
From the GD thread posts he is mostly around the clock turn taking.
AoN. If you need help help taking some turns feel free to pm. We can get some peeps together.

Congrats on your promotion +628 points in 30 minutes. I guess it will all work out in the end for you! Although your boycott from playing was a little shorter than you led on.

That's my whole point jefjef. I'm fine with people trying for new records. HA did it and he's still at Major. AoN was down to 388 points when I looked this morning. Now's he's 1003. almost back to where he started.

Hey man, you ever think that over night, while I sleep... that I may be losing some of these games? A lot of them in fact? I start out each morning as a cook and by night I end up as a sgt major or so.
Before I started this my win percentage was 31%.. not great but I play a lot of 8 man Terminators.. It has dropped to only 30% .. Showing ONLY just how shitty a 1vs1 player I am. I played about 1600 turns and 17 hrs straight yesterday, only taking a shower right before bed. I am SO damn sorry If I beat you and somehow a cook names buddylee76 is whooping my ass like a blanket. But it is what it is. I dont take kindly to have my character questioned as far as honesty. Yes im an asshole. Yes I have an anger thing. Yes on a lot of things. But im honest.
I dont know if I know how to intentionally deadbeat. I do know that for the first timeever, you have made conquer club not fun for me, and the last thing I want to do right now is to take all these turns.

Hey man, I understand your frustration. I would never have 1200+ active games. But you did it to yourself.
I saw someone drop almost 1000 points overnight so I created this thread. I have never said that you aren't honest or questioned your character. And I'm sorry that you find playing 1250 games at the same time not fun, but you did it to yourself.

No the games are hard, but i like them.
Its being called a cheater. Thats what makes me want to stop.
I don't know what you guys play for. But for me, its just the thrill of beating someone. The rank thing is nice, but I dont take it super serious. I jsut like to beat people. To put the only thing In question that I really play cc over really makes me jsut throw my hands up.

Good of you to admit, because it is really coming across strongly in your responses in this thread. However, I do agree that you have been honest throughout.
Perhaps it is not really fair to players like phantom who would like a challenge from a player of your ability, yet not have to worry about a 100 point loss.
You should at least acknowledge that you are screwing some people over in your quest for record holding glory.
The question is however: Is this point dumping? And is it illegal? If the definition of point dumping requires that it be intentional, then i do not think this qualifies. Although points have obviously been lost and gained and lost again rather quickly, it is clear that it is a side effect of the game load and not the main intent of AoN.

For what it's worth, I was wondering the same thing about possible point dumping.
Glad to see I wasn't the only one and glad to see that it isn't actually the case.

1. If you don't want to risk loosing 100 points to a relatively low-ranked player, don't start public games. Public games are public games, you take what you get.
2. I see no "screwing over". In fact, due to time and physical constraints, army of nobunaga's opponents should be happy, horny and grateful as they thanks to the situation stand a better chance to win the games playing him.
3. No. This is not a case of point dumping. Of course not.
4. As a note, please keep in mind the subtle distinction between what the law stipulates and what the rules of a private company stipulates. I find it hard to believe that "point dumping" could be considered illegal anywhere.

I think we pretty much agree. my last paragraph sums up the points that you made.
However, if a bunch of players joined my games when i was a major, and by round 4, I was down to 400 points, i would feel obligated to apologize to those that i defeated in my lowly cook form. even as a cook, I would be kicking ass left and right, and those that i defeated would be crying BS!!!!!! And they would be right!! I would feel like i tricked them, or screwed them, even though i did not mean to. That is why i would at least apologize and try to make it up to them somehow. To me, that would be the fair thing to do, and since this is a game, and not a gambling site, fairness comes into play for me.
But that is just me!
Did AoN cheat? NO!! Did he point dump on purpose? NO! But to make an omelet that big, you got to crack alot of eggs. And he should not be surprised or combative when a couple of those eggs get pissed off.
He should man up and say, "Hey, sorry i rocked a couple peoples' worlds a little bit, but i was going for the freakin record!!" And i think that they might understand him and let it slide.

Wolfpack. I think what you just said has summed up how I feel about this. Going for records is fine but there obviously is collateral damage when taking on 1250+ games.

Army of Nobunaga, you realy dont need to defend your self.
You play 1200 games and its normal, that you can not watch very carefull all games. So many games can have bad influence on brain,i bet that you become very nervous, and everything its piss you off.
I think that bigest punishment for AOR,its 1200 active games, and when he back to normal(i hope so), he will play much better then now.
For me, these case its clear, and AON its not guilty.

The man should have come to me, not taken it to a public forum and question my integrity. I would have jsut not played my final turns in the other games to compensate. I am mindfull of just how many people now have me foed and I have pissed off with this stupid record. I have hurt a lot of people. I am about to beat prankcall and lfaw in a couple of games too, but for fucks sakes am I suppose to lose these games because people care more about points than me? I dunno man. You act like I've accused you of murder. I never said that you were a bad guy.
I posted this thread when you were at 388 points. If you were at the 1033 that you are at right now I never would have started this thread. It's obvious that you weren't intentionally point dumping, but the mass loss of points was caused by you when you chose to be active in 1250+ games.
I also posted this thread to get a ruling from the powers that be whether or not having 1250+ active games is something they want to have happening on this site. CC is looking into changing the rules on tournaments so that 1 person can not have as many active tournaments, why should the same reasoning apply to games?
I'm didn't post because you are winning some points off of me I expect to lose some and win some. But it's a crazy system when you can fluctuate 800-1000 points per day. I guess I should have asked nicely for you to finish me when you are around 1100 instead of 400!

Fair enough, I apologize for my language and doing a record that takes/took some fun out of CC for you. Its jsut a game and I dont wake up each morning thinking and planning on how I am going to screw over someone. I am jsut taking my turns, getting beat by friggin cooks and colonels and trying in all of them I have a shot in. before this I had 3000+ career games, with about 50 of those 1vs1.. For the most part I have no damn clue what Im doing in 1vs1's.
If Im found guilty of point dumping its cool, I know how it looks. Ill serve my time and just play again. Sorry I was so pissed off earlier. Its just something that sucks to wake up to.

Is this ish for real?
The dude was breaking a most active games at a time record which was announced in at least 2 threads in General discussion. Hes probably playing on 2 hours sleep at best & isn't missing turns. I highly doubt his mental stability is allowing him to make perfect game play decisions or good ones for that matter.
Sometimes I wonder about the mental stability of some people making these reports.

Trust me AoN is not point dumping. He wanted to break my record of most active games. He is over whelmed for sure. Even though I warned him how hard it would be he wanted to go for it to prove he could do it. He is not trying to point dump at all.

I think everyone understands whats going on here. Even the original poster sees it's not intentional point dumping, but miffed that he is getting point raped. AoN is pissed he got accused, but understands why some people would be upset at getting the shit end of the stick due to his attempt at the games record.
Lets close this up before it turns into an even bigger Oprah moment. Moral of the story? Shit happens.
