I will definitely be in on HIppie's team. However, I see my friend dan wants in and doesn't have a partner. I will offer him my seat if he wants it. Otherwise count me in on hippie's team.
First off thanks for hosting. 2nd I would like to point out that 8 man games carry to much weight if you ask me. There is soo much that can go wrong. You can play a perfect game and still lose. I think each win should count as 2 points and not 3. Putting that aside a few of the map selections will lead to stale mated games. Poison Rome comes to mind. Maybe you want to change these out so we can keep moving. In fact Poison Rome is gonna over the 20 round limit in every game. Just my thoughts.
good call on rome, so many restricted areas, esp at this level.
as per 8p games... you signed up to the system as it was. i remember this argument being hashed out in one of andrewB's major+ tournaments to no avail either.
what are you moaning for anyways, top dog? must be the shock of it all!
had i been wise, i would have seen that her simplicity cost her a fortune

I just feel that the 8 player games should not have as much weight to them. Basically 1 8 player win = 3 2 vs 2 wins. We all know in 8 player games we cannot control what happens sometimes, but that is the nature of the game. Just a late game suggestion. If not then we play on.
You are absolutely right. But that is the rule. It is pretty much a crapshoot. So load up your crap guns.

well, I just thought that in an 8 player games you have three oponent teams, so it is logical to give 3 points. For my part I believe that in two teams games, dices play a greater role than in 8 players escalating. In first round you can earn 24 points, 12 for the 4P games and 12 for the 8P games. As for poison rome, I'm unsure but I think we will have winners by round 20, if no then the penalty rule will have to be applied...
