You're an idiot. Don't post a college football thread if you have no knowledge of who is even playing in the National Championship.
Florida State = Seminoles
Florida = Gators
whatever, wrong team i had to hurry and said the wrong team, i know what i meant and so do you, so focus!

LSU Tigers 41
Notre Dame "Fighting" (?) Irish 14

I realize that. Just wish there were a playoff system in place to give hot teams a chance at the championship game. I bet Boise State wishes that, too, as does Wisconsin.
And of the two losses, LSU got screwed by the refs (at Auburn) and then just simply self-destructed at Florida (muffed punt return, blocked punt, 5 turnovers).
Just saying that right now LSU is playing as good of football as any team in the country.

In a tough division. Granted there have been years where the SEC was tougher and I was a little surprised that they would pick this year to put us where we are especially with it being rebuilding years for two of the toughest teams in the SEC (Georgia lost their QB, it was still only Wes Miles second season).

thats part of the game. you think that stuff only happened to LSU? Penn State was 1 second away from being undefeated last year. the refs gave michigan a bogus 2 seconds back on the clock..... which they were not in position to grant. michigan bitched about the clock and won a protest they were not even permitted to complain about. you have to suck it up and move on to the next game. Again, Penn State this year, obviously a rebuilding year after they lost Big Ten player of the year in Michael Robinson and the majority of their team. lose 4 games to... 3 teams in the top 5 and the 4th to the 11th ranked team ( which was ranked number 2 at the time they played them). 3 of those games they could have easily won, but they dint. 2 late interceptions on the last 2 drives to win the game, lost it for them vs Ohio State. to make a long story short, any team can look back at their loses and say... what if ?

I'm really hoping that the flaws in the BCS series continue to show themselves and we at last get a playoff. That's the only way we're ever really going to have a National Champion. Until that day happens, the best we get is the Mythical National Champion.
As bad as I feel for my Tigers, I think I feel for Boise State more. Undefeated and not in contention for even a share of the crown.

actually this time i agree with the BCS. technically, Oklahoma is the first team that they played that was good. next year, they'll be high in the Ranks with LSU, OSU, MICH, WIS, ARK, and of course, how could i forget USC

Yes, but to have a shot at winning a NC depends on how a team plays the previous year? What if NCAA Basketball worked like that? The George Mason run last year or the improbable 1983 NC State championship would have never happened.
Boise State might actually have the best team. Probably not. But I think they deserve a chance to prove it. With the way the BCS is set up, it precludes any type of "Cinderella" story that makes March Madness so much fun.

again, looking at the big ten next year. i would be shocked if Penn State was not the favorite. Michigan and Ohio State finishing with 1 lose behind them. Wisconsin, which got a gift and did not play Ohio State/Michigan this year, will not even contend. Penn State returns their whole team minus Tony Hunt and Paul P. Linebacker U will miss their all time tackler and 2 time all american Paul P, but they have many players capable of playing that slot. Austin Scott will fill the vacanted spot at running back. the speed of Deon Butler and Derick Williams will continue to shread defenses and now with some experience, Anthony M will mature and lead a potent offense with his strong acurate arm.
also Penn States schedule will help them. They play Notre Dame, Ohio State and Wisconsin at home with only Michigan on the road.

Or hurt them. A tough schedule only helps if you win them But yes, I agree. Penn State has a schedule that can propel them to the top of the rankings if they win out consistently.
Don't underestimate the power of a weak schedule. Throughout the 70s and 80s Nebraska was always in the top 5 playing in an arguably very weak conference. But they didn't just beat their opponents. They mauled them. And the maulings kept them ranked high.

i just hope JoPa can coach next year. he can't even be on the sidelines late in the last season, so you never know
