I am on a really bad streak. I was at 2300 points a week ago. I'm now just barely a captain. Sorry for joining games and then falling below the requirements.

Based on the conversation in this thread, I've dropped all waiting games of which I no longer qualify. I'll join again when I'm worthy.

I will point out that my thoughts on the purpose of the point minimum is to ensure you have players that play like a major, which I still do. I really don't suck at this game, I promise.

I know it is only temporary for you. I'm positive you'll be back ... you are a good player. (there were "a few" who PM'ed me and mentioned that some of the people were below the 2000+ limit, which I understand). It isn't personal. (I've been there too ... having somehow survived a few bad dice moments/streaks and then bounce-back to Major)

That is one reason yes.

But I think one of the main reasons is that majors lose MORE points when playing with someone at a lower rank, than if they were playing someone at +2000.

in response to the recent chat on this, firstly i have just got my swords back, just about lol, i really am hovering above then under the mark atm, but like i said earlier i only ever join when ive got the rating to do so.

I posted a suggestion a while back to the mods about making a game option for this and got totally slated for it. I understand they dont want to exclude new players, dont want "exclusive" games etc but that really dosent wash with me or it seems the majority of consistent players.

I for one am just about making the 2000 grade and it really pisses me off when "lesser" players join my games, then from in-experience, make stupid play and throw the game to another lesser rank.

is it just me but allowing a option to only allow a minimum rank / score to join in the game settings would not be excluding lower ranks but would introduce a far better system....has there not been a lot of chat about farming noobs and would this not help against that?

by having a game setting such as this it would allow similar ranks to play similar ranks.....higher ranks could still take a chance if they wanted and felt that confident. AND - THE IMPORTANT BIT - players could still choose, so any rank can make games within there own brackets, or open and higher players can always join lower......i really cant see how this would be as the admins say creating exclusivity?

if i was a 400 rank id make a game 400+

if i was a 2400 rank id make games 2400+

id have a better game against 400's if i was 400 and the same at 2400 or w/e. i think this would remove the bad beat and frustration, encourage players of a similar level to play each other, eliminate farming a bit, and make a better CC experience

the only "real" objection i have got from CC is it discorages new players but surely this could only help them as it introduces an almost tiered game.....if i wanna play against players at 2000 for example i gotta work through and win some games at 1800 first.....or whatever level

finaly, this would only be an option, if u dont care about rank n score etc ofc the option for open could be left

since so many CC users clearly want this, hence this discussion i cant see why the OPTION shouldnt be introduced as its already being used more or less and if its made a game option would only serve to improve the game
