If I'm reading correctly... SOC Students are the only ones that have to meet certain criteria to join?

So does the being a minimum rank of Sgt apply only to SOC students?

It sounds like a new recruit can waltz in and join without ever playing 1 game.

Why is that?...

Here's the clarification, Beast...feel free to ask more questions...

As an SoC Student, there are certain prerequisites you have to possess to join the Ladder:

1. You must over have 100 completed CC games with 95% or higher on turns taken.
2. Must be at least Sergeant level when you enter the Ladder.
3. Have completed at least 5 SoC games (Basic or Team).
4. Must have won at least 1 SoC Training game.

All SoC Students will be verified before being allowed to participate in the Ladder.

I saw this last night and wanted to sleep on it before I made a decision.

I'm going to allow ganguscalm's challenge to ElricTheGreat to take place this time.

My reasoning is that gangus had to take an emergency hiatus with the passing of his mom. Several of us covered his games, including that Ladder match. It wasn't like gangus had a vacation planned and had a sitter scheduled for his games. At least three of us (with different strategies) covered his games for him.

I'm open to listen to a rebuttal and take this to my "Council", but I feel this is the right thing to do.

Got the win recorded...you stay at #2 right now because you have to earn the #1 spot, but I did fix my typo and corrected your previous position.

Also, I am declaring a forfeit by General Bax in our match. The match was tied 1 - 1 pending his home map. I gave him 8 days and posted on his wall three times asking for the tie-breaker (I have the screen shot). Ladder is updated.

Also, Lord Arioch is on HIATUS for vacation until Dec. 12th.
