This graph pre-dates the counting-alteration.

Well it's been six months so we were about due for an update -- see the graph now. You can clearly see when the patch was applied in late January. I made no attempt to correct for the errors due to the bug prior to that date (which I think goes back to mid-2014 for the institution of guide games), because I don't know how many guide games were played.

People leave for various reasons, life changes and things move on. I stopped playing for a around 5 years and have come back in the last couple of months for a bit of fun. I think instead of looking at the reasons why people leave, the bigger question is why are new people are put off joining. Because at the end of the day you can't keep everybody playing CC, but to maintain a healthy user base there needs to be people joining CC too.

People who think this is more than the temporarily, every year occuring, fucking seasonal rise in members are retarded. Gaming sites ALWAYS increase in active members during the darker months of the year. ALWAYS, what's new is that it took so long for the decline to stop this year. We were in November before members started increasing, that has never happened before! Previously we saw increasing activity in September and Oktober, we used to call it the summer lull, now it's "everything except November, December, January lull". In one year the same positive retards (or new positive retards) will say the same thing. Only difference is that instead of 12000, it will be 10000. America has a lot of idiots for sure. That's a confirmed stereotype.

As you can see from the above, there were modest winter increases in 2010 and 2011. In 2012, however, winter brought a small decline, and the winter of 2008 from 22,642 in late summer to 20,256 by Boxing Day of that year.

In total, we have solid evidence for four years, of which two show increases and two show decreases. For other years we don't have data at hand. Two ups and two downs does not add up to a reliable "winter peak" of any kind.

Incidentally, Gillipig lost the both his bet on 9/17/2012 that Conquer Club would not survive another year, and the bet he made on 5/10/2013 that it would be below 10K members within six months.

Nice stats, we're at a third of the maximum it once reached now. I guess it's somewhat fair that the maximum was reached when lack was still running things.

Anyway, I came here to post something that has been posted numerous times before, but still hasn't changed.
Why does the homepage still say there are 600.000+ users? It insinuates that those users are active, at least that's what I would think when reading it. It's pure deception and I really can't think of any good reason to let that number stand there. Does anyone know why this hasn't been changed for all the extremely obvious reasons? I'm not asking for your personal speculation, btw, because we probably speculate about the same scenario. I'll give bW the benefit of the doubt, though. So if he has a reason that it didn't change, I'd like to know.

Of those 600.000 members, only 8000 are actual players, because they play the game. I can't be the only one to think this is the most logical way to look at it.

I don't get it...when you look around at what else is offered Conquer Club seems to trump everything quite easily. Especially for what you can do on here as a freebie.
