Well actually about 80 % only. - Maybe a little less. If you count the players that signed up but never did anything else as participating, the "advancing" percentage comes down further.
Should this rate continue, we will be below 1000 players after round 4. Likely the advancing percentage will rise some for the following rounds as there will be only a few players that miss out due to complete inactivity. - However some freemiums at least will be pressed to get all 3 games in, so that will still drain the player pool some. I think its likely that we will go below 1000 players after round 4 even with a higher advancing percentage. Maybe only just, though.
So yeah, we gotta be in it for the long haul (assuming we advance), but its by no means a never-ending prospect. 12 rounds should see us going below 200 players with reasonable probability. That should probably happen this year.
Im having loads of fun, so I dont mind being here a while, though.

Did we have to report our wins or is there a tournament system that takes care of it automatically?

Thanks for any help.

You don't have to report your wins, HA can find them by doing a quick search and its probably easier that way.
For Round 2, you have to wait for ROund 1 to finish up and for HA to figure out how many people advanced to ROund 2. He's announced that it'll be another week or so but he'll send out a PM when its ready to go. Once Round 2 begins you'll be able to join up to 3 more games needing to win 1 of those 3

Thanks.
That should be in bold somewhere in the first post.

If people would read the first post instead of skimming for bold text, it would cut down on 99% of the questions here.

Actually I think that each round the % of ppl kicked will rise cause of ppl like those listed in the 3:0 club. When it comes to less people then it will be harder to avoid such people to last longer

If someone joins 4 games and loses the 4th, what happens to the player that wins this 4th game (someone else's 4th, their 1st/2nd/3rd)?

Can someone please explain to me why it's necessary to actually post that you have beat a CC dignitary or notable or what ever you call them?
I mean, shouldn't it be enough to just beat them?
Finding out who did so first, shouldn't be more than a matter of a simple search.
Thank you.

It would be a simple search if you were looking for a specific person. However, there are lots of CC mods/admins/etc., which makes for a lot of simple searches. And when you're running a tournament with >2000 people, it saves quite a bit of time to have folks post in the thread.

This medal was for the first person to win against a team cc member and post. Just a quick fun medal that has already been won by rodion.
Round 2 will be next week as long as the games from round one are complete or have players that have won one game in them. I will send a pm reminder out soon and I will adjust the first four threads to make life easier on the reading eyes.

2/12--Only 30 games remain in round one. Round 2 is on target to start 2/17

Rodion wrote:If someone joins 4 games and loses the 4th, what happens to the player that wins this 4th game (someone else's 4th, their 1st/2nd/3rd)?
The player that joins four games would be eliminated but the player playing his three games would advance if he won one game even if that was the game he won.

What happens if someone (Player A) joins a 4th game, wins it, and that game was the 3rd lost game in the same round for his opponent (Player B)?
Does that mean Player A is DQ'd for joining too many games, and Player B is also out for losing 3 games in that round (despite the 3rd game being lost to an ineligible player)?

You have it correct.
Someone else being DQ'd does not effect the three games someone else is playing.

More than 4 games joined issue:
Now onto a controversial issue. I was waiting until round 2 was almost ready to announce this because it will not make everyone happy. With so many new players we were bound to have a lot of mistake and confusion. Also due to the evolution of this tourney-there was a lot of adding and deleting done by me on page one making it confusing to a lot of players. Even though I announced many times that you could not join more than three games, some players though that was more than three games at one time. Some players made honest mistakes and joined a fourth game. Some players joined a fourth game and immediately let me know they did it by mistake. I wanted to be as fair as possible to all 2500+ contestants so what I decided to do is pm these players with instructions on reporting to me their games. I had them report to me game number, initialization start times, and win or loss. If they were able to win a game in their first three games based on initialization time I am advancing them for round one. With over 60 players doing this there was some confusion for sure. If they did not respond to me or if they did not send it in the format I listed above they will not advance even if they had wins. I checked all initialization times that they sent me to confirm so that no cheaters could get through. After I clean up the first four threads I will send a pm explain the procedure going forward. It will be clear and concise and leave no wiggle room for confusion. I do hope everyone understands why I have done this and it does not create too much controversy. Thanks for understanding.
