I'm confused about the "you can now leave feedback for # players" thing.
a few hours ago, it said 164. then it dropped to 104, and now its all the way up to 171. whats going on? Why does it change so much?

I don't know whether I'll like this system more or less, I guess I'll have to wait and see. I do know that the comments in a feedback system convey a lot more information than 4 specific ratings ever could; it allows people to describe what they like or don't like specifically. So, hmm... it would be nice if I could add an optional "note" to go along with a rating that I leave someone... I know that "The Wall" is for that, but it makes the comments be separate from the rating, which isn't as useful.

Because what one person considers "foul play" may be acceptable for someone else...

**********************************************************************************************************************************************************
I Agree with what this person says i.e. the new ratings system and the fact i believe it also needs a 'Note' facitilty with it.

As some players are malicious, I have found that if the game doesn't go their way these people often PURPOSELY leave bad feedback. [-X i have had this happen to myself on a few occasions even though i won those games. So some people early on in this rating system may be VERY prone to POOR ratings through no fault of their own because of their style of gameplay against these malicious people. So although they are good and nice 'RISKY' players they may find that they cant join games because they have a poor rating. :?

This would be MOST unfair! :( :( :(

Other than that i think the RATINGS SYSTEM you propose will be a GREAT addition to this FANTASTIC SITE. :D

Another quality product!

Keep up the good work!

Also I Love the new MAPS. :D :D :D :D :D

Yeah, mine seems to go between 120 and 135 every few mins!

Plus, how do you know which players? Do you have to go back through your game history or something?

Look at "recently finished" at "my games"
You can leave 1 feedback per unique person, u played with/against.
As long, as this person is still in "recently finished"

So if u got 164, u have 164 unique players in "recently finished". The more games u finish, the more feedback u can leave.

hey, lack, what do you think about combining both rating systems? new stars with old comments. like 1 or 2 stars - are bad feedback, 3 - neutral, 4-5 are good ones. and player all the time needs to attach a comment to feedback he is leaving. it will solve nearly all of the current issues and complains.

and about medals - they seem to me more like badges in BF2142 or BF2 ( those who played it will understand me). but here nearly all of them are oriented on team players - and just a little on single players (like me ^^).
so what i say - why don't we add much more of them that are more like statistics (ofc giving a medal when you reach the border), not an achievements - played X seq games, played X freestyle games, turned in X cards (like thousands?), killed X opponents in all the games (this one can be called bounty hunter and must be some very high numbers like 500 or smth), played a game lasting over X rounds (long-runner medal?), played X private games, had win:loss rating over 2:1?.. this list can go on and on.

and what i want to say - its kinda fun to see a colonel (or even higher) without any medals. a little unfair :(
maybe the first medal (standard achievement) is not working properly? cause i can count more then 50 opponents i defeated in standard games and still have no medals...

I miss a rating for game stupidity/intelligence.

The sort of actions out of stupidity that lead to a certain other player to win big time or other imbecile actions, even though the signals about player threats are clear to interpret ...
Mostly this is the source that leads to other unpreferred actions like game chat annoyances, foul language, game chat constipation, etc..that results in bad Attitude markings... but now, there is no possibility to leave an indicator for this game intelligence in the current proposed ratings which stands at the basis of most agrievances.
Attitude ? That covers the above mentioned after step malices.

Another remark;
Why is whining about bad dices (because it OFTEN IS remarkably terrible! ) a reason to give bad attitude marking in the same line as foul language ?
One targets an abstract software execution, whereas the other targets a living person. There is a clear difference in severity here.

Lastly:
How bad is "bad" ? and how good is "good" ?

and shouldnt there be a marking for frequency of giving markings ?
So much positive feedback I gave never returned (out of lazyness), but all the negative feedback sparks immediate retaliatiry feedback, thereby creating an inbalance in feedback.
That effort to give markings is worth something too ... now there is no incentive to GIVE ratings (except amongst friends :!: ).

New system is a lot better (rating system, medals, ...)

But wouldn't it be a lot cooler when the stars after yout name were the same number as your rating (so when you have a rating of 4, you see 4 stars, when you have 2.4, you see 2 and a half stars, ...)

;) Just a suggestion...

I assume its just a matter of pushing a few buttons. Why don''t we just go back to the old system?

Premium, Sir

what does it mean? I've seen lots of non-premium people with medals so far, then its not that. and there was no word about medals available only for premium accounts.

Yep....said it during discussions and now that it is implemented...new system is pretty damn gay. And being gay IS NOT cool. I'll give Lack and crew two thumbs up for time and effort. Watch the price of premium go up now because of wasted time like this.....

Why can't the Moderators admit why they created this new system because it clearly is not better??? :^o

1. Liability for defamatory comments

2. Unwillingness to devote time more time to feedback squabbles

If the Mods would stop lying to us that this is a better system, I might actually understand it so would most of the CC users. Stop treating the users like children Mods and tell us the truth. =D>

JM EDIT: Flame Wars is not here.

You just remove loads of time. You know how much time some people have spent time to both give and get feedback.

Put me in the "I think this sucks" pile. THe comments on the feedback helped me understand and guage whether or not to join a game with people I have never played before. Now all a rude, condencending player needs to do is get a buddy to post glowing numbers and his rating goes up.

Also, if someone gets pissed off ont he game, they can torpedo you without fear of retribution or even being proven false.

Seems like a license to wreak havok. Very bad idea.
