It's somewhat hard to tell if Saint Laurent is part of North or South Quebec... maybe switch the colors around so the conts. are easier to distinguish.

Why do you use Louiseville, split Lanaudiere and add Laurentide,

Use "Quebec area" , and La Baie very small city it's include in SAGUENAY city.

Also St-Tite it's very small if you add Laurentide (large territory), make one territory with St-Tite in Mauricie.

And you can enlarge Montreal for Montreal area

In my very personal opinion bonuses should be:
+1 New Brunswick
+1 Newfoundland
+2 Duplessis (because of the possible starting terits).
+2 Labrador
+2 Nova Scotia
+3 Nunavik
+3 North Quebéc
+5 South Quebéc

Think on a 3 vs 3 game with 2 initial continents with a +2

Q. Why do you use Louiseville, split Lanaudiere and add Laurentide,
A. Ok, i guess we can do that.

Q. Use "Quebec area" , and La Baie very small city it's include in SAGUENAY city.
A.I'll tell him to change it to Quebec Area but La Baie is only that because there is no more room in the territory for Area.
Q. Also St-Tite it's very small if you add Laurentide (large territory), make one territory with St-Tite in Mauricie.
A.

Q. And you can enlarge Montreal for Montreal area
A. Montreal is going to stay only montreal because its so big.

You need some consistency with your accents.

I'm concerned that the way in which Quebec was split up doesn't actually achieve the goal of making the western half of the map more attractive. You now have:
• a large, 8 territory region with four borders that will take three more turns to hold than the five territory, three border region that nets the same bonus, and
• a five territory, five border region that will get absolutely pounded by its easier to capture and hold neighbors.

Unless I happen to get a lucky start and all of my initial territories are over there, I would still consider this a dead zone when playing this map.

try the solution below. the main thrust of the changes is to have a light brown 5-territory continent south of the river and reduce the number of territories north of the river.

extend mauricie to the river (not bordering any bridges), separating quebec city from louisville, lanaudiere and montreal.

Gilles#1 wrote:Plse add Laurentides, and the correct name for La Baie is "SAGUENAY" (Saguenay is the principal city including La Baie and many others city)

rename lanaudiere as laurentides.
rename la baie as saguenay.
move the monteregie bridge further upriver to the extreme south-west.
move montreal to the south side of the bridge, bordering monteregie and the bridge (monteregie will no longer border the bridge).

Gilles#1 wrote:Nice change for region, but "Louiseville????

expand louisville to reach the river, separating the newly-expanded mauricie from laurentides, and rename it as lanaudiere.
add a montreal-sized territory on the north side of the bridge, bordering the montreal bridge, laurentides and lanaudiere (the old louisville), and call it laval.
add a territory to border monteregie and chaudiere (but not the river) and call it estrie.
rename saint laurent as bas saint laurent.
let montreal, monteregie, estrie, chaudiere and bas saint laurent be light brown (continent of 5 territories, of which 3 are border territories).
let outaouais, laurentides, laval, lanaudiere, mauricie, quebec city and charlevoix be dark brown (continent of 7 territories, of which 5 are border territories).

merge nunavik with fort mackenzie (part of riviere-koksoak, population zero, in 2006) and call it nunavik.

http://www12.statcan.ca/english/Profil0 ... earchPR=24

merge baie-james with nitchequon (population zero in 2001) and call it baie-james.

http://www.ottertooth.com/Native_K/nitchequon.htm

let the new nunavik territory, the new baie-james territory, manicouagan, saguenay, saint tite and abitibi be green (continent of 6 territories, of which 6 are border territories – u can reduce the borders by expanding saguenay so that baie-james no longer borders charlevoix).

if we merge saint tite into mauricie at the same time as we do my suggested changes, then the border territories for the nunavik continent will reduce to 4: ur idea looks good.

Alright, so what's the scoop? Have you decided which changes to make? I agree about the consistancy in accents. Don't drop the ball on this one, it looks too good to me.

as requested, here is a sketch of the changes that i described in my previous post, based on a map that unit_2 kindly sent to me for this purpose. please excuse the poor quality of the graphics: this is my first attempt at using paint!

to fit in laval, i had to move montreal to the other side of the river.

sorry but it's not the reality, Montreal it's on the wrong side plse remove Laval and correct to Montreal, and the other side add Longueuil (fusion onf many municipalities). Also plse correct Quebec city to "Quebec area" . And, Monteregie include the city of Longueuil just add a point for it.

gilles

is this what u want?

Image

i changed quebec city (or is it quebec area?) and charlevoix to light brown by mistake, but i think the gameplay is actually better like that. oaktown's concern was that dark brown would be too difficult to hold but, with 5 territories (of which 3 are border territories), this is no longer true. light brown now has 7 territories (of which 4 are border territories), so it'll need a big bonus.

Plse correct Montreal just other side of Longueuil. Longueuil it's include in Monteregie just a small part of Monteregie . And chage Quebec city for "Quebec area".

Well, looks like you are still thinking about rearrange contis, so I would suggest:

- remove fundy coastal - halifax tiny border.
- change gaspesie to another continent, and merge 2 blue areas, changing gros morne connection to anticostie.

Plus:
- Nova Scotia could be lighter, because its difficult to see the little islands.
- in the original map its difficult to figure what conti Saint Laurent belongs to.

i've expanded monteregie to include longueuil, put in centre-du-quebec and renamed quebec city as quebec area.

marvaddin, this does not include ur changes yet.
