Um, so mass prod coming out tonight. Just letting you know, so you can get in here and post ahead. Waiting on another scene which may or may not come today is not a valid use of time.

Good point BG, I missed it. So the list told him 3 names one of which is scum, all he has to do is figure out who before the scum find him. So we need to ask questions for him so he doesnt have to reveal himself.

I thought the heartbeats part at the end meant that maybe we have a reviver.

That seems to be a bit of a leap in logic. I am guessing a dreamer is a fair name for the role we are looking at, but the abilities cannot be assumed to be so cut and past from a typical dreamer. The role is just to rare to assume it always behaves the same. We just need to play the game and see what shows up.
My thoughts.
thinking of home, a lost love, a call to duty in a time of need
Three confirmed players here. Remember to use this if it comes to a mass claim in the end.
I am going to
Vote JGordonMost of his posts have referenced scene flavor rather then much in terms of the actual case. He didn't weigh in on Eagle until the NL case was well underway and has otherwise been flying real low under the radar. I also happen to think much of his flavor analysis is wrong and could be attempted misdirection. I am uncertain of that point.

I am not sure I would qualify it as a mis-direction, but I do agree that he hasn't put much substance of value into his posts.
As for the scene I could see where you would get a dreamer from, but I am really not sure with this role.
I could diffidently see their being a reviver though, and the scene does sound like their is 1.

Not trying to fly under any radar Edoc, just learning a little caution from previous games, if I dont understand the situation I try not to jump to far. I.e, the dreamer never seen it before and thats why I missed the possible reference in the scene.
But my thought is if this role is correct it will be the one that needs to be protected.
And I think the best way is for them to stay in the background as much as possible. let others ask the questions.
Now having said that where can I reference what that role is, and what it does so I can understand what is going on.

Here are 2 links to a bunch of different types of roles, and are very useful in trying to figure some of the game mechanics for roles.
EpicMafia - Haven't used this one muchMafiascum.net - Spent plenty of time looking this one over

Ideally, you would also have something to contribute to the discussion.

and a "Siren" is in none of them. Maybe they altered the role so that they are a "Day Dreamer" of some kind?
Googled siren a bit, this discussion about a non-invented role is the best I could find. But like safari said, it most likely wasnt anything too important.

Im not really sure what to contribute at this point.
We really have no idea what is going on at this stage of the game and everything we say is speculation.
Our game didnt start building steam till page 9. We can all safely assume we have a dreamer.
For me what is equaly important is realizing that a game needs balance. A certian amount of good guys and a certian amount of bad guys. Good guys need to find bad guys.
The link states that if someone visits the dreamer they cant function. This person may be the lynch pin that holds it together but if there killed its meaningless.
Lets do some probobility. With 12 players. I would think we have 3 mafia perhaps 4. Do you think its safe to say that there is a high probobility that at least one mafia voted to lynch Eagleblade?
I would put money on it.

On that basis, wouldn't it also hold that at least 2 mafia didn't vote for eagle? Therefore perhaps that's a better route to start?

to be fair i think anyone in their right mind would want eagle gone, but yes, there probably was one who voted him

Pointless conjecture.

There is a difference between saying "a high probobility at least one" and saying one mafia voted. There could be one, two or three. Looking at who didnt vote would not work, as mafia would more then likely want a dead town then to sit out and do nothing.
We are talking probobility. I am not a math expert here. The vote pattern does not prove anything oneway or another BUT I would certianly watch some who voted a lot closer.
And Edocil my conjecture is far from pointless.

True, it is important to look at who has voted on which cases, but with so little information, it's probably not very informative right now.
I mean, with one main sample size, variance in how many scum voted for the lynch is quite large. Could have been all of them, could have been none. Just because someone voted for the lynch doesn't automatically make them more or less likely to be scum.

If I picked 7 players at random I could say the exact same thing. So I guess I really don't see what can be drawn from that statement.

There is a difference between picking 7 people at random and picking from a pool of players who may have a vested interest in eagleblade dieing.
It certianly is a stronger base to work from then what we have so far and makes more sense then tryng to figure out if "glowing words" and solitary figures means anything.
Take it or leave it.

Oh whoops, I thought for a second there that eagle was actually mafia.
But yeah, I think they're probably good enough to avoid bandwagoning?

Ionno, the problem with eagle is that just about everyone who played with him has come away with a bad experience. So it could be that people just voted him regardless of what alignment the voters were.
