But perhaps this is JUST RIGHT for Duggie-lox and his paddle

So if he is strategically weak, you must be one of the worst players alive since he has almost double your points

Clearly someone should have read Dug his Miranda rights.
Rarely have I seen a case where the right to remain silent could have been put to better use.

I thought this decision wouldn't effect me, but it does! I feel I am being robbed of entertainment value.

hee hee... right you are...
I can just picture dug reading this forum for the next 3 months...
and unable to spout expletive responses...
I now imagine him pounding his keyboard with his paddle out of frustration....
I figure he's on his 3rd keyboard already...

Seconded, Mods you are dirty used and dried up douche bags. Andy you even said yourself dugcarr did not break any rules, thus there can not be a punishment. What the f*ck are you smoking. 4 Months of not even pms. You can go f*ck you self andy. Dugcarr1 is the shit. f*ck you all!

Dug got what he deserved. I'll miss the entertainment for the few months, but as Andy said:
it states in the rules, the mods will take:
proactive measures to enforce fair-play.
I think most people can agree what dug did does cross boundaries regarding fair play, and this probably sets a useful precedent for other people considering other "fair play" offences.

Communists the world over resent your comment, as communism is not by definition repressive, corruptions of communist ideals are. ...Though I'm not suggesting what the mods did was repressive, but that seemed to be the intention behind your message. For the record I'm not a communist, but I dislike the way it's ok to stigmatize a political belief, especially when racism, sexism etc. aren't.

I would like a pro-rated rebate of my membership back please....I will gladly not visit this site anymore. You know the interesting thing is that there is alot of shit that goes on here as people climb the ranks. Mostly from people trying to keep you from getting to general ( I cant tell you the shit I went through!! ) from people trying to be partners to lose on purpose and all sorts of stuff...it amazes me and honestly I think it is part of the game....obviously if you get to a certain point you just got to be " A LITTLE SMARTER" than the average bear. My point being is this...whilst what dugcarr1 did was wrong in intent it is still sporting in a twisted way...all about ADVANCED STRATEGY in a way. Ok I may be stretching things far here but it is possible. Either way I am very much not pleased with the outcome and think it is a mistake. Do I want to play at CC? Sure...however there are alot of other sites I can dominate at... I took a few months off from the stress of high stakes poker...guess Full Tilt is always open...and hey I t\am sure there arent any Commie bastards there.

Actually yeah, when I'm ranting about political stigma, I really shouldn't let that one slip by. Anarchist organisations aren't em... bad. There's probably several nearby you IRL but you don't even know they exist.

I'm rather of the opinion that strategy should be limited to the games themselves. I don't want to see all this bitchiness and backstabbing when you get near the top, I want to play fun games, and have the ranks reflect how good people are at the game.

Sub, I once thought the exact same thing as you, I e-mailed one of the mods & told them how I felt about the CC community. I'm pretty sure that they said something like, "Sure there are people that are annoying & complain, but if you ignore them CC is really a great place." This pm kept me on CC because I realized that CC is full of little kids with no lives & pathetic old men who will complain all day just for a couple of points. So if you look past all that & ignore it, CC can be the best website. I thank god for you & dug who have not become 'corrupt' like most of the higher ranked players

no, as the repressive institutions set up in the name of communism cease to be communist when they abandon communist ideals.
Anyway it's not the place for a political debate here, just please keep the political slurs out of it.

AndyDufresne wrote:[size=14]As we do not specifically have a rule covering this, we believe we are well within our proactive measures to stomp this out right here now.
Proactive measures? Invade Iraq proactive?
...but in all seriousness, could we get the reasoning behind this decision? I for one am confused as to what rule was broken. I don't agree with his actions, but then again I don't agree with people abusing the points system to get on top. I believe there is nothing in the rules prohibiting this, or at best it is a huge grey area. If this is illegal, is plotting to open a multi account punishable? Obviously the reason behind this is that it's never come up before. Understandable, but I think this deserves more than a single post by the mod team announcing the decision. Also, with the huge amounts of homophobic, racist, sexist, etc., etc. talk that goes on here, not to mention spam- which are flat out stated in the rules, why are they not as dutifully enforced? I can understand people jumping on Dugg 'cause very few actually like him- has this had any influence on the decision or these proceedings (not that anyone would ever admit this, but just something to think about)?
Maybe we need a new thread to discuss these things, but most likely it'd just be run over with idiotic comments...and I can relate to mods not wanting to have to put up with the hassle that it will inevitably be- but I still feel there are many questions to be answered here. Is there some sane way we can go about this?

i haven't decided whether or not i feel dug should've been banned. but the mods absolutely had to take action. with the attention this incident has gotten, they had to set an example.
