Re: Germany Revamp Competition - FINAL VOTE (page one)
I went with I
F is 630x600 - no need to be full size here
F has colours that fit the German flag. I has colours that hark back to the original Germany map (I think). push.
F thinks that Pep did a Gameplay revamp. tisk-tisk
to sum up, like a deadly spider, the maker of map I has weaved together quite the map.

F is much much nicer.

that's news to me. We all know he did a Graphics revamp. I'm guessing you just skimmed the post?
Re: Germany Revamp Competition - FINAL VOTE (page one)
The gameplay has remained unchanged from Hoff's original Germany map.
Pep worked out the current configuration, making it more accurate while retaining the gameplay connections etc.
The competition conditions stated that pep will be the second mapmaker to credited with developing the revamp.

Nah, I think we just have different definitions of gameplay. I include the tert layouts, names, etc.; but yeah, you're right in that the connections and bonuses haven't changed.
Got a better word?

Gameplay is just the bonuses and connections. everything else is graphics.

I like the map that's being used for Germany now better than either of these two. I voted for F anyway, because the rainbow effect really looks gross after playing the map the way it is currently. The black/grey, red/pink, yellow/orange stripes effect really made the map look nice to me, and it's why I started to play it.

Wow, didn't expect WM to be the designer of I. Great job mate.

I like map "I" a little better. Impassable borders are a little clearer. Otherwise, both well done.

Thanks Sam.
For all that don't know, I created map I.
I have contacted MrBenn to figure out how he wants to proceed with the development.
I look forward to getting your feedback and getting this map done as soon as possible.
Thanks again everyoen who participated.
As far as I know it was the most participated revamp we have ever had here.
Lots of great work. It is always great to see how other people think and express themselves on the canvas.
Also great map Sam and killing. Loved the color and title treatments.

Re: Germany Revamp Competition - FINAL VOTE (page one)
What revamp competition has WM entered that he hasn't won? I suppose the centerscape revamp since the winning design was JR's but WM eventually took over the graphics. Great work man!
I was pretty happy with 3rd place since I put in zero creativity and pretty much cleaned up Pep's map (mine was map G). But I and F were head and shoulders above the rest!

Brazil and Centerscape I did not win. RJ did. Plus I am sure RJ would have won this if he had entered. He has the best maps IMO.sully800 wrote:What revamp competition has WM entered that he hasn't won?
