Conquer Club

Was talking about this the other day on how much different CC is from the earlier days; both good and bad. From the old classic map; the scoreboard that recognized a 2k score as one of the higher scores; colonel being highest rank; old school, top notch, friendly players such as Jork; Fireside Poet, Coolbean04, Crookface, The Black Rose and Mike Doherty to name a few. Post your earlier memories of gameplay, players and overall fun of the site between current and past. Should be some cool memories rekindled.

Really? I remember not knowing if this site was legit and getting worried that they'd use my credit card info for nefarious purposes.

I remember when I was an ignorant old man investigating the forums for the first time. My first post in "Bumpage" (as it was called at the time) was in Baron Von PWN's Off-Topics invitational. I giggled when I got an invite. I felt special.

I remember when I realized how laid back and unprofessional the admin is. for example:

I remember the last time I played a 1vs1 on my favorite map...feels so long ago! Man, I need to get back to those games.
