Seton Hall still a no-show in game number 3588743

*Meant to say PURDUE - but the Boilermakers have indeed shown up and should be a good game

#16 Houston enjoyed a victory inside 8 rounds against the visiting #14 Ohio State

The team managers provided more entertainment than the game when at the end of the first quarter Ohio State team coach Wendt100 confronted Houston coach Wrexham - both coaches had to be pulled apart as the partisan home crowd bayed for blood.

Houston coach Wrexham speaking with College hoops radio reporter George W Bush after the game had this to say about the incident.

Given the position of our 2 castles on the feudal pitch we were able to unite them both early on, this provided us with opportunity to spearhead our attack against the opposition.

The foggy condition meant that we had to wait until the opposition showed up before hitting them with the spearhead.

Our tactics worked a treat as Ohio State appeared for the battle with much less ammunition than ourselfs, they captured our castle but exhausted themselfs in the process leaving my players the easy task of retaking the castle, moving our numbers there and cleaning up the game.

But as soon as our tactics became clear to the other team, their coach confronted me on the side line saying
this is a game for people who have no true statagie and rely on luck!

I said, I didn't agree and that my tactics were obviously working!

But Wendt responded saying
No this is for people who can not master risk and need gimmicks to win.

Thats when I got angry and we had to be pulled apart, said Wrexham.

When I asked what gimmicks were being refered to Wendt responded saying
the board and deployment.

In conclusion Wrexham added, at the end of the game Wendt did congratulate us on our win and we wish their team well in the rest of the tournament, but I have to say i would have had more respect for their comments had they talked about the conditions before it became clear the game was not going their way.

3580195 continues to be a close battle between tulane and air force. Neither side has been able to build a substantial lead (hold bonuses) or dominate the floor (grab a bunch of countries). This one will come down to the wire folks!

Air Force will take this one. Never nearly as close as was implied. Good game

Memphis defeats UMass in a home game that lasted just 4 rounds (Game 3588683).

"We appreciated the tough test put up by UMass in our home opener," said head men's basketball coach John Calipari. "They're a good, talented team that should soon recapture their glory days under the guidance of tsioumiou. Unfortunately, their high-risk strategy relied too much on three-pointers (good dice) and someone moved the line back a foot in the post-season."

Robert Dozier was somewhat more brash. "Nobody puts Baby in the corner," Dozier shouted while heading to the lockerroom, "and nobody beats a Tiger in its own den."

Memphis was almost late to their own home game (joined late, I think). The team's bus driver explained they were away at "whereever the [heck] the consolation rounds of the preseason NIT tournament are," did not see the game on their schedules, and wouldn't have showed up at all "had God (flex) not sent a prayer message (pm)."

The UConn Huskies improved to 3-1 with a decisive 4-round win over Arizona in Game 3607870. Although the Huskies benefitted from some good luck, getting a 2-army bonus on the drop, the Wildcats had the chance to play first and elected to try for their own bonus rather than breaking UConn's. Once the Huskies busted the Arizona bonus in their own Round 1 turn thanks to a streak of hot shooting (or, perhaps, dice rolling), the rout was on.

Air force wrapped up the game quite nicely... Tulane sold themselves short saying it wasn't close!

Air force's coach still thinks it was pretty close. In other news Air force came out firing in it's home opener and is on the brink of victory against a hardworking arizona state team. That moves Air Force's record to 3-1 on the season.

One mistake in the standings...Georgetown should be added a win to 2-2 and Weber State should be added a loss to 2-2. It has been updated and will be reflected in the next update...sorry just a bookkeeping error.

Tulane bounced back and took their record to 2-1 with an easy win over #13 Tennessee

After winning the tip and immediately nailed a # of 3's ... Tennessee never was given a chance in this one.

Portland, a newcomer, incredibly won its third straight game in a row, with a fantastic score of 3 - 0.

The first victory at home, in its first home game, was against Nevada, in 6 rounds.
