Scores updated. The Hypochondriacs have closed out Assassin, but the Schizophrenics are nipping at their heels when it comes to game completion. The Catatonics have started finishing game after game, speeding them toward the halfway mark they are just shy of. Three of the four groups have over 2/3 of the games done, so this first round looks to be finishing up quickly.

For the people tempted to build in No Cards, don't forget I'm throwing out stalemate games (ones lasting more than 50 rounds).

Actually, I just checked the first post, and maybe I read right over it, but can you describe the build up rules again?

The rule has been there from the first posting of the tournament, so it's not new. In essence, if a game lasts over 50 rounds, I score everyone as getting zero points from that game, and count it as completed. So I highly suggest (again) not to get into any potential build-up scenarios.

Yeah, I remember reading something like that somewhere, but couldn't find it. Thanks for repeating. I hope everyone checks here!

Just for clarification, once the lowest player has been dropped from each group after Round 1, the groups are the same? Or are you rearranging the groups? I asssume the former, I was just wondering about the close to 300 games people will have played together come Round 4.

I was planning on switching things around each round. Playing the same people for several rounds for that many games gets old.

Can it be? The Hypochondriacs have been surpassed by the Schizophrenics, narrowly surging ahead by a single game. And yes, the scores got updated too. Exactly 70% of the games have been completed, though a lot of the Terminator ones are yet to get tally, though the Schizophrenics only need to complete 6 more of them to get a tally.

I think that the max rounds should be bumped down from 50 to maybe 25 or 30... Otherwise we'll be here forever!

And speaking of max rounds, what about terminator? Are we going to lose kills due to build up? It might encourage it, if you get say, 5 kills, then someone kills you, the last two players could just build and therefore you forfeit 5 kills, while they forfeit none.

Kills will be tallied regardless of whether the game ended in stalemate. That's a special case I didn't foresee, thanks for letting me know.

Could you do me a favor and hit me up with a few links to games that look to be developing stalemate qualities? Also, I'll send out a PM seeing what people think about lowering the limit.
