You mean whoever is dropped next to him...

I say make it 4 - too hard to do easily - and easy enough to fight over...

Regarding the Neutrals, the current scheme (with 4 on Conquer Man) sounds like the best, and it's consistent.

I'd maybe consider flip-flopping the colors of the "Aliens Can Attack Each Other"...Blue text with a yellow outline...just to give it a little more stand out, though really that may clash with the above red/blue. But just a minor thought.

              Final Forge

---The Conquer Man Map has reached the ‘Final Forge’ Stage. I've revived this thread from the pits of the Foundry furnace and have exmined the contents. Nearly every major concern has been addressed. If there are any other current concerns, please make your voice heard. If after a reasonable amount of time there has not been any objection or protest, the map will be deemed finished with the 'Foundry Brand' of approval and will be submitted for live play. As long as there is still discussion or posts that have yet to be commented on, the map will remain in Final Forge until said discussion has reached the conclusion that the map has reached its final and polished version.

Post questions and concerns if any.

OK here is what the map would look like at the beginning of a game. Please ignore any stray gray 3's on the pellets. I did not feel like changing all of them to a player color. But the Conquer Man, Alien, Diamond and Cupcake are set.

I think the nutral starts should be the other way around on the aliens and dimonds... the dimonds give a bonus so surly they shouldn't just have one nutral starting on them... but no one will want the aliens so if they started with just one nutral that nutral will stay there a rather long time I think.

Yep I read my other post wrong. I accidentally flipped the 1's and 3's. It will be fixed with the next full post of map and XML

I don't understand how you know which territory is which. Some have letters.

What? They all have letters or they are called out in the legend.

Well I have been editing the XML and it is done. Over 12,000 lines

XML: http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/6/15/ ... xml_06.xml

All of the neutrals are done and the coordinates are ready.

The small map is within the requirements and I don't see why it is needed to be smaller.

Sorry. No resize.

link doesn't seem to work for the large map (w/o numbers). Also, it's probably just a total coincidence - but the missing map has the name cman12lux3.gif

I just think that it's kind of funny that "lux" would wind up as the random suffix.

This map is excellent. I look forward to playing on it when it gets quenched. Might even start a "Video Game Arcade" tournament series (if only we had Karate Champ, Spy Hunter, Mr. Do, and/or Gyrus maps - I rocked at those games).

NOTE: Gyrus was basically a knock off of Tempest and Mr. Do was definitely a knock off of Dig Dug.

Just to refresh my memory, WM, could you post the above images with 3 digits also?

Otherwise...it's looking perfecto! :)

WHAT! You can see there is plenty of space between each 88. DO I really need to?
