I actually liked this post from Hjelp.hjelp wrote:1. Factual Analysis

It punched back at Devs nothing Reid Technique post, at just the right time for me.
I liked Charle s post shortly after re probably few vanillas given sonics mod style too. Again at the right time, but also to me a Charle playing circumspectly and I can see a town Charle taking that approach this game given the havoc in the game he modded

Can you argue for why you're suspicious regarding Darin, strike and hal ?[/quote]
Hal given his initial posts seemed scummy to be and then a lot of fluff added in afterwards that just kind of buried it and continues to post a lot without anything of substance. Kind of rubs me as trying to be very active but without saying anything substantial that could be used on him. Darin more so for supporting hal and really not posting much otherwise, seems to be trying to jump in only when necessary possibly to support his scum buddy. Strike is more of a gut feeling as he doesn't seem to be playing with his usual style and involvement but sitting back more even when prodded by Ragian. And king is because he seems to playing like he did initially last game with his posts hence just initial feeling.
I am town and will claim if forced but that would not be of benefit to anyone other then scum.
As for Sonics poems there is something there so I'll be going back to revisit those and the content of posts before as there's some hints there. As much as it gives me a headache to do so

Well Devante, if you took the time to read my posts you would have found a lot of substantial clues, but you have just declared town which I think is quite deliberate

Re: D1 of The Reid technique Mafia Game
I mean by necessity everyone is either explicitly or implicitly claiming town for the foreseeable future. I'd welcome and applaud anyone who does otherwise, but someone saying or not saying "I am town" feels pretty meaningless by itself. Now if you think you have a read to make about if that was a true town player reaction, or the mark of scum being defensive, that's something else.

On Halrob yes I took was initially suspicious and my suspicions weakened but the initial reason still stands. Agree active without saying anything substantive. I'd also add that the first rule of breadcrumbing is not to say you've been breadcrumbing. I don't want to lynch hal D1 because adds to the game.
But overall I'm pretty similar to Dev in where I am on Halrob
On Darin I edge innocent because I think he's playing close to D1 town Darin in last game. He made a decent in my view N1 decision last game just unfortunately got killed so we didn't see more of what he's got. I think he's still in finding his feet mode.
On Strike couldn't disagree more that he's sitting back more than usual. I'm suspicious of strike because he reacted to rags bluff on him and my vote on him as if he really wanted suspicions of him nipped in the bus.
So yes I'm suspicious of strike but from a completely opposite direction to Dev
On king that's the one I want to leave most hanging because I am too but I've only got vague or difficult to articulate reasons.
I'll leave things at that for now and see what the reactions to this are.

Re: D1 of The Reid technique Mafia Game
More and more Hal you’re creeping up the radar and I’m starting to think you might be town acting weirdly from lack of experience but if you keep going this route of just randomness then you might as well be camping with max. Better would be to provide some opinion like loose did. I would welcome that because regardless of whether I ended up getting lynched it would add info to look back on for town.
To town in case there’s a rapid lunch on me and I don’t get to declare would say watch the votes and the way they came in
As for sonics sonnets. From what I read there are 3 maybe 4 we are fighting against. 3 in cohusion at least. I’m on my phone but will post the relevant phrases that I saw as well as direct player acknowledgements and role hints. Some of which I’ll post and others I’ll hold back for obvious reasons. I got a lull of about A3-4 days in farming and the regular job so trying to be more active right now but we’ll see if that’s of benefit or not I guess

I like this post from Devante. To me, he comes across as knowing he might get forced to claim, and he's trying to see how that could be beneficial to town. Any town player must be willing to sacrifice themselves in order to win in the long run. That's the vibe I'm getting here.Devante wrote:More and more Hal you’re creeping up the radar and I’m starting to think you might be town acting weirdly from lack of experience but if you keep going this route of just randomness then you might as well be camping with max. Re: D1 of The Reid technique Mafia Game
Devante,
How experienced are you in playing mafia games with the Reid method? I'm trying to play it to the spirit of the idea that Sonic put up, but if you want me just to put my thoughts down of who I think is who regarding town/scum/weirdo killers then where is the fun in that?
Jhelp provided a clue to what his/her role might be if you read what what was said. I think Loose has an insight into what the role is here.
My own view is that he /she is a mafia killer based on my prodding and responses.
I have provided a lot of crumbs on the way to my role if you take the trouble to read what I posted.
Loose is a very good player, I'm leaning towards town but after the last game he may have learned from Sonic and be a very good spoofer and have a role as a mafia tracker.
Kingm not sure about yet. Others yet to consider fuller as they are not doing too many posts.
Comparing me to Max in the last game is stupid and I'm sure you only said that to wind me up.
Max did f*ck all in the game, at least I'm trying to engage, build a bit of rapport and try to tease people into reveal something we can latch on to.
So I'm happy to sit back do nothing and let you play the game in the way you see fit and see if I can pick up any crumbs. The problem is so far all I have seen is bull, bluster and self opinionated crap

a note to Jhelp
In the smoke-lit hush of a mafia night,
Where truth hides deep and lies take flight,
The assassin stirs—no name, no face,
A shadow sworn to end the chase.
Eyes like daggers, voice like dust,
They move by cunning, not by trust.
While town and mob in chaos spin,
The assassin waits—then slips the pin.
No loyalty to black or white,
They deal in balance, not in right.
A careful blade, a measured breath,
Their art is silence, their craft is death.
One strike too soon—the world erupts,
Too late, and fate corrupts.
But when the dawn begins to gleam,
The assassin smiles—they shaped the dream.
For in this game of masks and schemes,
They are the echo in between—
Not hero, villain, saint, or sin…
Just the end that waits,
and the calm within.

Re: D1 of The Reid technique Mafia Game
FYI : An AI analyse of the REID TECHNIQUE MAFIA GAME set-up (forbidden to do as player while alive!) was done before the start to check for unbalances / better suggestions. This was the final verdict before the game went live :
"The Reid technique Mafia Game" is a thematically rich and mechanically balanced 11-player custom setup.
It rewards smart reads, communication, and adaptive play.
Balance Summary
Faction Members Notes
Town (?) ?
Mafia (?) Compact but synergistic toolkit
? (?) Chaos agent preventing hard reads
? (?)
? ("Their leader hides behind odd lies.")
? ("Only detained by ?'s bars of iron grace or touched by ? ? hands, his hunger stills,- but ? undone, and ? worn, he feasts — and always ?.")
→ Win chance estimate:
Town ~48–52%
Mafia ~35–40%
? ~10–15% (?)
Pretty even for skilled players, and very dynamic with multiple overlapping night interactions. High interaction; every role matters; no faction has dominance.
Overall: Highly interactive, balanced within ±5% of neutral expectation.
Late Game Predictions (D5+):
If ? survives, likely 1v1v1 endgame.
If ? dies early, ? vs ? ends 2v3 or 2v2; still very tense.
? victory depend strongly on ? and careful ?.
Balance Verdict
Deep interplay between the power roles — no “useless” powers.
? mechanic introduces strategic deception, not RNG chaos.
Multiple soft counters prevent any single role from dominating.
3 factions keep game tempo fast and dynamic.
If ? chain-protects ? repeatedly, ? can snowball into confusion; ? should be encouraged to intervene and counter.
If ? dies very early, late-game may lean slightly ?-favored.
If ? loses ?-role early, investigative pressure rises sharply.

I thought the role of townsfolk was to identify who is mafia and eliminate them, sacrificing yourself is detrimental to the game and town friends.
Getting eliminated weakens the town position.
I'm suspicious of Devante threatening to claim town, I don't see the need at this stage to do that, in any event if its true he has played his hand too soon.
I'm now suspicious of you encouraging him to commit suicide for the town as that would be something scum would encourage.
