Even if we mass claim there is no need to vote today.

That is true; but if we mass claim and there is a doc or roleblocker that person is then exposed with no way to protect them going into Night 3. So if we're going to potentially reveal another town power role, we'd better be getting something real good out of that deal.

In the scenario where town has a doc, if the doc thinks strike is cleared as town cop, then the doc is almost certainly going to protect strike. So in that scenario strike almost certainly isn't going to die tonight either way. Revealing the doc wouldn't be about strike dying or not dying, it would be about giving him more information so he can choose who to investigate tonight. We have to balance that against the information it gives scum.

Well, in that scenario, you lynch whoever you think is most likely to be scum. Like always. I think timing and the nature of the claim is very important. That's why I'd prefer a claim now. That doesn't necessarily mean that we must lynch.

Right, I understand. I'm just extremely confused about what we ought to do in the situation where someone gets counterclaimed. Stakes are too high to automatically lynch the person who gets countered. But at the same time, I can't reasonably ask you or anyone to commit in advance not to do this.

Skoffin, how much longer do we have for Day 3? I'd like to mull this over just a little more.

I'd also like strike back in here. Perhaps the time has changed and his result is beneficial to us now?

Anyway, I can't tell you that I wouldn't lynch a counterclaimed. It depends on more factors than just the counterclaim. As you also note yourself.

I have weighed the poszibilities and at this point believe that a mass claim is best saved for tomorrow in order to at least give some protection to any remaining power roles tonight. Iheld onto what happened in case it could be used in a mass claim scenario as a soft counter claim but I dont have a result from last night. The report I got back was that I fell asleep and forgot to investigate which sounds like I was role blocked. Whilr I cant rule out that the town's protective role is a jail keeper, I mean towards this being a Mafia role blocker.

We should vote no lynch for today but I do not see a reason to end today quite yet.

If the protective role is a jailer, you'll have no result tomorrow (unless the jailer gambles).
If there's a scum roleblocker, you'll have no result tomorrow.

Probably. If we mass claim and the protective roles revealed. One of us will be dead tomorrow and Ill probably still have no result.

Yeah... Okay, no lynch it is.

Let's give Mets time to think as he asked, though.

strike's clarification resolves my confusion (although of course it does raise interesting new questions). Since that was my main reason for hesitating, I think we should proceed with the no lynch.

What's that supposed to mean. Are you breadcrumbing a protective role now?

That's one uncomfortably large bread crumb.

You think it's the best way to win for town because:
a) You're hoping that you will get killed rather than Strike?
b) You're gambling on scum thinking you're telling the truth?
c) You're full of shit?

I just don't get why you would claim when we agreed that we wouldn't claim till D4 despite my efforts to convince the rest otherwise. Why would you go against consensus? And why didn't you vocally agree to a mass claim then?

I read the consensus as a no lynch vote. Not as none claims.

And I was never against the mass claim...
