Hi all!

Almost ready to go!
To give this tourney a more authentic Olympic flavor, I have randomly chosen 72 of the countries participating in the 2012 Olympics and randomly assigned them to your teams. Check the Google spreadsheet in the first post to see what country your team is representing!!
(The country you represent has NO impact whatsoever on any aspect of the tournament, but you may request a different country if you provide sufficient reasoning).

Also, the 5 teams who have not yet submitted their final rosters will have until 11:59 PM Eastern US time (10:59 PM CC Time) on Monday, July 30 to do so. Teams who do not submit their rosters by this time will be placed into their events by yours truly. The 5 teams this applies to are:

Lesotho
Serbia
Turkey
Ukraine
Uruguay

Well we were assigned to Congo. Player [player]Congo[/player] is on my foe list. So it doesn't stimulate to play under that name. Also Congo isn't a very friendly country. So totally no stimulation there either. So it really does impact us.

I would hereby kindly ask to let us play under the flag of the Cook Islands. That will remind us of a warm safe place and really stimulates us for fully achieving our Olympic dreams. It will also fit better to the quality of the skills of our Team, as we will be playing like Cooks.

So please Monsieur De Coubertin can you make an exception and let us play as Cook Islands?

I realize that there is no point in being so unyielding on something that, as I said myself, has no impact whatsoever on any aspect of the tournament.

Therefore I am changing my stance, and have edited the relevant part of my post to read that "you may request a different country if you provide sufficient reasoning."

So, yes, you may indeed play as the Cook Islands.

Unfortunately, no, but I will put you, [player]StinknLincoln[/player], and [player]Caratacas[/player] on the reserve list, where you will join [player]bubbaloo[/player], [player]Quark_Star[/player], and [player]Edmo1[/player].

Finally, the schedules are complete!! My sincere apologies for the delay, but we are ready to go now. Games will be made and invites sent out shortly.

This tournament will be divided into 7 days, and will use 3 types of points - Round Points, Event Points, and Standings Points!

The first 684 games of this tournament's Day 1 have been created - and depending on how many games it takes to finish the cross-country relays, that number will climb to at least 900, and could possibly grow as high as 1,116.

I'll be sending the invites out over the next little while (there are a lot of them), but I thought you guys might like to know that - so you can prepare yourselves.
