And this too maybe:

The second round will be drawn randomly, and, after a few people called for it, that draw will determine the following rounds too.
If anyone wants to, we can have the draw in live chat sometime, all we need is to create our own room, designate two people to call out numbers in turn (and for everyone else to shut up wihile they do it lol). Could be fun?

That also helps DJ. If I'm around for the live chat event, I'd peak in there.

I looked at the bracket. 26 teams total. 18 play in the first round. That means 8 get a bye and 9 move on. How do you plan on doing the second round with 17 teams?

Im only counting 9 listed.
There was a miscount in original sign-ups. In Djs op he notes that 26 clans entered, but in fact only 25 did (unless there is one missing from the list)

A clan dropped so one clan got a bye by default. I can't remember the specifics but it will be 16 in Rd 2.

DJ @ page 8 or 9:
"N.B.2. CA (Clan Agoge) dropped-out, therefore giving their proposed opponents, MM (Momento Mori), a bye too."

If the second round is drawn completely randomly, doesn't that mean there is an increased chance that two clans with a bye will play against each other? I know that since there are more clans with a bye that this has to happen at least once, but I was hoping the clans with a bye would each play against a Round 1 winner where possible.

I'm pretty sure the random aspect is pool a is chosen from to meet pool b.
Where pool A is round 1 winner (and MM) and pool b is the clans with byes, randomly matched vs each other.

I see some ACC war threads without 1v1 games... I seem to recall a pm a week ago grinding on me about submitting the 1v1 list....
Same rules not apply to everyone?

why not throw every one in a hat makes for better drama i think it wont hurt a bit if to higher clans play each other they all ready got a bye now you want to guarantee most of them into 3rd round also how much advantage do the top clans really need

I agree with WPBRJ. Make it completely random.

shouldn't individual game wins go in the respective challenge threads?
And with regards to the draw, I'm not sure I'd want to kick Tofu out of the first round without them at least getting to the final

This has been mentionned before.
In the seond round, each clan with a bye will be drawn against a winner from round 1.
The better drama option would unfortunately contradict the intially advertised format so Ill be sticking with the original.

Thanks for clearing this up. I agree with your initial format, by the way.
